de La Hoya has done loads for the sport of boxing. Sad to see him go, but glad that he won't be taking any more punishment.

one of my all time favorite fighter.. he arguably has the best resume in this generation. win or lose, he fights the best.. even though he could easily cherry picked his opponents because of his star power, he always challenged himself to be the best.. so sad that in the later part of his career, he always gassed up going to the championship rounds.
mad props on him.. he made the right decision.. its a pain to see the oscar of today fights and compare him in his 90's fights..
goodluck to him and i know he will enjoy millie and his hard earned money..

You know nothing about boxing. You think Ali ran for his life against a superior fighter in most of his fights?

My dad and I went there today. A lot of press was there. Sad to see him go, but it's the right decision. He was one of my favorite fighters to watch.
