The article Horus cites says that Mosley turned Mayweather down 10 years ago. At that time, Mayweather was fighting at 130 and never fought at 135 until 2002, against Jose Luis Castillo...who he was afraid of. Mosley wasn't decisioning top level guys, he was knocking them the hell out. He defended the IBF lightweight title several times, where was Floyd? Still at 130. He didn't move up to 135 until 3 years after Mosley went 135 up to 147. There was no way Mayweather wanted anything to do with Mosley 10 years ago.

I hear you but it's true. Maybe Mosley wasn't scared of Floyd and was
just looking for bigger fights at the time but all of that is documented.
Scared of Jose Luis Castillo? He fought him twice back to back, once
with an injury. Jose Luis Castillo was nothing to sneeze at in his prime.

Whatever man, I don't see where I ever made an excuse
for Floyd Mayweather Jr. Seems to me that it's ok for fighters
/fans to come up with reasons on why they should do something
but when Floyd or his fans do it then "Floyd is scarred" or "His fans are nuthuggers" I can understand that everybody wants to see Floyd fight everyone to see how his skills will be tested against guys like Miguel Cotto/Shane Mosley but Mosley dropped the ball again on a Floyd
fight, that Marquez picked up and is running with it and Miguel Cotto
hardly says anything about Floyd in the light of the media. I always
state my opinions from a annalytical/business stand point and the facts remain that Floyd is still on top. Everything I state is true, now the fact
that he should fight everyone is clearly an opinion and if it happens or
not don't take away from Floyd accomplishments PERIOD, so how am
I hugging? Because I won't admit that Floyd is scared of Cotto/Mosley?
If you read over all my posts then you would know that I don't hug,
I just don't make excuses. I can care less if Floyd fights Cotto/Mosley/Williams because I respect him as a Boxer/fighter
and business man. I would like to see him fight and would enjoy
it but won't hate the man if he didn't like a lot of you do on here.
I have to edit my posts a lot of times because I don't align the sentences right and have to correct them.

floyd didn't want to work his way up to fight mosley, he just wanted mosley to give him a shot.

regardless, floyd did want to fight mosley at 135 and mosley did turn him down for whatever reason.

Dave, bottom line Floyd Mayweather Jr is a great boxer who skills are compared to none and it is already a known fact. The reason why people feel that he hasn't been tested is because he hasn't been beaten and as long as he keeps winning people will want him to keep fighting because they will feel there is someone out there that can beat him. It ain't about nothing else. Manny Pacquiao is fighting two fighters Floyd already beat and he is considered a boxing god? Floyd beat a bigger Oscar De La Hoya at his comfortable weight (154) with everything in Oscar's favor
(Ring, weight & gloves). Who fault is it that Floyd made fighters/Boxers look average? You act like all the guys Cotto/Mosley fought were elite fighters? Come on man. Floyd fought his battles at 130 135 and is a definite hall of famer, 140 he looked for Mosley & Mosley didn't want him, Arum said Cotto wasn't ready for Floyd and Hatton, who fault is that?

Baldomir was the recognize champ at 147, who fault is that? if your
a boxer trying to make a career and name for yourself who do you fight? Margarito or Baldomir? Do you really think that Margarito would have beat Floyd? Honestly? I see your point, you want him to fight guys that YOU think can beat him, I know that they wouldn't because I can see the style match ups. Sure I would want to see it and not debating it but come fight night against any Welter my $'s on Floyd. He ain't scared of them guys, he just getting paid. I was hanging out the other night and met that actor kid Josh Hartnett and we were talking about Hatton/Pacquiao, arguing about who was going to win, he had Pacquiao and I had Hatton but when it came to Pac/Floyd discussion bought up by this Phillipino kid me and Josh were on the same side & that was Floyd's.

Dave, face it man, no matter who Floyd fights he's walking away with the W. Roger Mayweather before the Margarito fight was asked who would Floyd like to fight if he comes back & Roger said Cotto (IF he gets past Margarito but didn't) and Mosley. That's being confident in a fighters skills. The only one that I think would
give Floyd some problems is Paul Williams at 147. So what if I think he can
beat them? I always saw the flaws in Cotto and Mosley that Floyd could
expose. I just think that Floyd technically is a better boxer than Cotto
hands down and whatever name you call me in the book won't change
the fact that I feel Floyd would beat Cotto and Mosley by simply out
boxing them. you guys are something else, your saying that you would
pick Floyd over your favorite fighter Cotto but you call me a cheer leader
for saying Floyd takes everyone at 147? Obviously you know Floyd is
a better boxer if you don't have confidence in your favorite fighter
like I do. Please man, go ahead with that. I believe in Mayweather's
