SRL, we are going to disagree. at 140 floyd fought bruseles, chop chop, and gatti. Far from a Hagler.

I am sorry to claim to know anything about a real warrior, because I am not as great as you obviously oh mute the great. Please forgive me.

By the way-my teacher is a real warrior, not a boxing warrior. and my amateur boxing opinion starts with Glenn Johnson, Azumah Nelson, Brian Mitchell, Jc Chavez, Sweet Pea, Diego Corrales, and Micky Ward.
LOL @ Floyd would have never taken the Tarver or Calzaghe fight.

So what you need to understand, is that when you are on top you choose and do what you want, when you fall from the top or when you are rising to the top, you cannot do same. Leonard at 160 was fighting old Duran and old Hearns and making more money than fighting McCallum or Kalambay or any of the other top middleweights. Hopkins could never call the shots except for a very very brief time in his career between beating Oscar and losing to Taylor.

I don't know what a real warrior is either, but my hunch is that he is not to be found in a boxing ring, since those people you mentioned are paid to fight, just like Leonard or Mayweather. Unless you are referring to beating up your wife as the true sign of a warrior...

Once and alt, always an alt. And cowardly is loading up your gloves like your hero Margarito. Right now there is not a bigger coward in boxing than him. "Viva Mexico" that.

Shane is the #1 ranked Welterweight, and the #5 ranked P4P fighter. Mayweather would get more props for beating Shane than any other Welterweight (other than possibly Williams); and far more props than he'd get for beating Pac or Marquez at 147.

Which is exactly what you're doing. Any other fighter who claimed to be the man at Welterweight but didn't want to fight the no. 1 ranked Welterweight and #5 ranked P4P fighter "because it's not a big enough fight" would be laughed out of town. But people like you don't laugh when he says that because you think with your emotions instead of your brains. Boxing isn't just a business, it's also a sport. In a sport, the best have to fight the best in order to retain credibility.

it but Sheeesssh! Cats be getting ill on here about him and meanwhile he
doesn't even speak about coming back! He got the game on smash right
now. The guy is retired for like 2 years and still got dibs on the biggest
$ fights & Shane just came off of his biggest win & still can't get in the
loop? That's why I respect Floyd in that aspect too! The kid has a great
business strategy & the skills to back it up. All I have to say to all the
people saying that Floyd is scared of Cotto/Mosley or whomever.....
Once he whips them out do me one big favor......PLEASE NO MORE
              EXCUSES.
Mr. Grustler, we dont want Floyd to fight everybody and we know the boy is good, but the problem is that Floyd left the sport claiming he was the best ever but dont have the background to hold that claim, yes he fought some good boxers and some old like every other boxer but check this out and let me know if I have a point here; we all knew that Baldomir, Hatton, Gatty were no match for him, Oscar was the only one we though was going to be more hard for him and it was in a way, Zab is another story that I dont get, here you have a boxer that made Floyd look bad in the fist 4 round + send Floyd to the canvas with a flash knock down that the referee didnt see and then you cant tell me that Floyd outbox Zab, I think that ZAb was paid to drop the fight, but any way, the ones that we know can give Floyd his fist lose, he never fought and thats the reazon he needs to come back and fight at least 2 of the top fighters right now, other than that he will never get no credit from the real fans of the sport, the only thing people gonna say is that Floyd was going to be one of the best fighters ever but never fought the best of his time with the eception of Corrales and maybe Oscar

he wont get credit from his haters who would say he wait for shane to get old and the fight should have happen 5 years ago.

The haters are irrelevant. The real boxing fans want to see him fight the top Welterweights, and will give him credit if he fights Mosley, and will give him even more credit if he also fights the Cotto-Clottey winner, and even more credit still if he also fights Williams. The real boxing fans will also give him credit if he fights Pac at 140, but not at 147; and even if he fights him at 140, they'll only give him props for that if he also fights at least one top Welterweight before he retires again.

I agree. But most boxing fans who are not Floyd fans but who are not Floyd haters either don't want the tune-up to be against JMM unless it's at 140.
