          Key word is ALMOST!

The reason why Roach and Arum said he will face Hatton before he even entered the ring against Marquez II, is because they were trying to influence the judging with the notion that it's better business if Pacquiao comes away with the razor thin SD victory, to set up "Hatton vs Pacquiao", than it would be for Marquez to keep his belt.

Just imagine if Marquez won, as most boxing analysis thought he did, there would be no Pacquiao vs De la hoya or Pacquiao vs Hatton.

Boxing is business, and Arum says all the right things at the right time, which just so happen to make his bank account grow! Ask yourself this, If Arum said, "Marquez will face Mayweather after he beats Pacquiao", who do you think would have got the decision? Sure as hell wouldn't have been Pacquiao, but Arum works for Pacquiao, not for Marquez or Mayweather!

I don't think Mayweather will come out of retirement to be honest. Don't you guys remember he turned down an "easy" second pay vs Oscar, i believe 30 millions? Also think it's not a good idea for him to comeback. Right now Mayweather is a living legend, second to none in this generation and maybe beyond. A bad performance even if in a winning fashion will make people remember him as a good fighter instead of a great fighter. Layoff + being 32 is not a good combination to comeback to low weight class boxing. I saw a video about him in a fan's blog and it's really incredible. Did you know for instance Mayweather was p4p #2 only 3 years after turning pro?! That's VERY impressive and i didn't know that as a fan. Right now he's an historical fighter, the only undefeated fighter to ever win tittles in 5 categories amongst other great feats. Mayweather's don't come everyday and he should be saved for the good of the sport. What better spokesman for boxing than him? Well lol nevermind that but he's a good example together with Lewis that you can be great, keep you dignity and leave in your own terms.

                Is that a fact?

there's a scorecard, pacquiao won that fight against JMM.

what you said is just a theory with no basis.

It could be a fact, and it might not be. Only Arum knows.

Yes, there was a scorecard. One judge had it 115 -113 for Pacquiao. Jerry Roth, the most veteran experienced judge that night, scored it for Pacquiao, as did the majority of the boxing analysis.

Yes, It is a theory, but it does have a basis, I just gave everyone the basis. You're not too bright are you?

Arum's recent announcement that Pacquiao vs Mayweather might be next is a very dumb move for negotiation purposes. Now, Mayweather knows he's the main attraction and can demand whatever he wants. Previously, Arum stood firm that he didn't want Mayweather vs Pacquiao to happen, because he claimed Cotto is a much better opponent for Pacquiao and it would be a bigger fight. What he really meant is that he prefers a pure Arum card, since Cotto and Pacquiao are both under his control, the profits he would make would be much greater.

The only logical reason he would change his mind, is because he knows no one cares about Cotto, and he is trying to influence the judging on this fight (Hatton vs Pacquiao) in Pacquiao's favor with the notion that Pacquiao will be fighting Mayweather next, even though we all know he really doesn't want that fight to happen.

Arum has been throwing names left and right, "Cotto, Chavez Jr., Valero", trying to test the public if they will accept an alternative to Mayweather, but it just won't happen and I'm sure Arum is not happy about it at all.

Are you accusing him of bribing the judges? If not, why do you think is would be in their financial interest to score the fight corruptly? It might benefit Arum if they did, but it would not directly benefit the judges financially unless you are accusing them of taking bribes.
