So no, Froch, Bute, Taylor or even Danillo Haussler? You got to be kidding me. Danillo was tough enough with Kessler but he couldn't beat Jones.

P.S. Kessler is the only SMW that I think could beat Jones at this time.

Haussler was NOT "tough" with Kessler - he wasn't even close to being competitive. It's a joke that you even mention him in the context of a top SMW.

I think Kessler, Bute, and Taylor all beat Jones right now.

I like Froch but that idea is obsurd, lol. Don't think Jones won't have emmense power and speed @ 168. He would most likely KO Froch and it would not be a close fight IMO.(I would still love to see it)I don't think Carl would be able to handle the left hook as well as Omar Sheika did.

An old shot Roy Jones wants to drop down in weight to fight a very good fighter in his prime... people are underrating Taylor because of his losses to Pavlik. Taylor wins handily! Roy just had a perfect farewell retirement type match i dont see the need for him to keep fighting at this point!

I was baiting somebody with that thread and you are the sucker who came in there to get it, lol.

            >My Response: I know, I was downplaying Kessler's recent wins against nobodies. I know Kess is the man to beat now but @ 168, Jones could give all three of them hell right now. Take Bute off that short list though. He could not take even an intermediate Jones uppercut.

Actually that's impossible. I get the point though.

Jones is nowhere near shot but people make it out like he is because he is no longer superman. He still has allot to offer and can beat probably 97% of the guys in or around his weight class. If he's not ready to hang them up yet, who are any of you all to decide for him. He looked good saturday and he can beat allot of guys performing like that. Jones is always fun to watch and I challenge anybody to find a sharper puncher around LHW even at his advanced age.
