I see where you're coming from but one important thing to remember is that Roy knows what he is going up against and he is very aware of the dangers that come from every fight he takes. If the man wants to fight Taylor then let him.. And we can hope for a classic at best. The whole "he should retire" thing is all up to him... The fact is he is still an active boxer so we need to respect his decision and either support him or be against..

Roy would get knocked out cold by Taylor. He would NEVER even be in the fight. It's over Roy. If you fight Taylor and lose (which you would) you would have to pay another old guy to unretire like you did with Omar so you can go out on a win.

The point is that there are actual important fights out there for an important player like Taylor. Roy doesnt matter anymore in the big picture. Who wants to see Roy get yet another "One last shot?"

MEGA-FIGHT... I love this. It would be a tough fight for both. Roy looked pretty sharp against Sheika. Jermain did good against Lacy and a win against Froch would legitimize a chance at another mega-fight. I think this will be a brawl and Taylor does great in thos kind of fights... If Roy fights with his hands down like he usually does then Jermain would have his triple jab all day. But Roy is Roy and he still has that speed and power. This fight would be good because both fighters need each other. Roy would jump back into the picture and so would Jermain. Winner should go after Dawson.

The fight might be competitive for the first 6 rounds or so considering Roy has the handspeed needed to land on Taylor, but once RJJ gets that deer in the headlights look he inevitably gets these days against a quality, dangerous opponent, even a winded Taylor will be able to tear him up.

I got 60k that says Jones would own Lacy if they fought next. Lacy would have been sleeping with the shots Jones put on Sheika and Lacy is arguably easier to hit than Omar.
