cotto's not gonna get pac. pac was difficult in negotiations against dlh and hatton. if pac beats hatton it will get only worse.

pac will demand a bigger purse than cotto, as well as a catchweight w/ monetary penalties if cotto does not make weight.

cotto won't let pac get the bigger purse nor fight at a catchweight (as he is very vulnerable lower than 147).

if pac doesnt get floyd, he will fight jmm next, then fight valero in the phillipines and retire.

But Im leanin towards that fight cos i KNOW that bob arum cant afford to loose his 2nd cashcow to GBP. I think he will rather put more money to keep content pac... even if that fight wont represent a big revenue FOR HIM COS HE WILL GONNA HAVE TO PUT SOME OF HIS MONEY TO MAKE BOTH CAMP HAPPY and the revenue he will get from that.. is that hes gonna keep his 2 main fighters..

arum will put in money to sweeten the pot for pac, but will cotto be happy with the purse disparity? if pac beats hatton, i'm betting pac will ask for 70-30 in his favor against cotto.

also cotto won't (and shouldn't imho) fight pac at a catchweight (because his stamina and chin will suffer even more under 147). but roach will not let pac fight cotto at 147, and there will be financial penalties to make cotto suffer.

its for these reasons why cotto/pac will not happen.

arum will need to find some other way. arum is just dangling pac in front of cotto to get cotto to sign, but i doubt the fight will happen especially if roach has anythign to say about it.

If Mayweather fights these guys this is what will happen:

#1 Hatton - We already saw what happened and it would be the same all over again.

#2 Cotto - While I do think that Cotto's natural size and strength could be a problem, Mayweather's speed would dominate Cotto. Mayweather UD

#3 Mosley - Very similar fight to Cotto, probably more of a boxing match but I still think Mosley at 36 can't hang with Mayweather's speed and movement for 12 rounds. UD Mayweather.

#4 JMM - This would have been one of the greatest fights maybe a few years back but the real question is, how much longer does JMM have in the tank at 35? He would be at a dissadvantage in size, speed and maybe even power. Mayweather UD or possible TKO.

#5 Pacman - Now this is the only real mega fight. Both fighters are still in their prime and both are closer to their natural weight for the match up. I still would give the slight edge to Mayweather as far as speed and boxing ability but Pacman's relentlessness and power would be something Mayweather might have never seen. LET'S SEE THIS FIGHT!!

Well said man. I believe Pac will be the biggest challenge out of the names you mentioned. He has the speed and stamina to give Mayweather problems, not to mention his southpaw stance

I just hope that the person that fights him knocks him back into retirement! I'm tired of Floyd trying to claim he's the best when he don't want to fight the best. People want to talk sh.it about Cotto, but he fought Margarito and is about to fight Clottey when nobody wanted them. That's a lot more than what can be said about Mayweather.

that may be true.. but im sure cotto wont be ****** enough to re-sign with top rank with some guarrantees for him.

about the split... on a possible fight.. .i dont know.. .cotto needs to realize. .that it doesnt matter how the split goes... it will be his major paycheck! so i think he can deal with that.. and not let his ego.. interfer with him and his biggest paycheck!

That's a pretty good assesment but I think Cotto and Mosley could beat him, they are too big for him, especially Mosley. He is big and fast. I just hope that FM fights a true WW and not Hatton again. I would like to see him against Paquiao but at 140.
