Calling someone out and being asked who you'd like to fight are two different things.

Cotto said he'd fight Mayweather, Mosley, Margarito, or any other fighter, just get the fight made. Just because he didn't go on a tirade about who he'll beat the **** out of doesn't constitute him as ducking. Floyd on the other hand was asked numerous times on National TV (ESPN & HBO) about a fight with Cotto to the point where he'd say "Next Question" or make excuses about Cotto having to be a CEO.

If the roles were reversed you'd be looking at Cotto as a ducker.

Stop overestimating his ability. I liked when you all were humble after Margacheato beat him. He will be in a life and death war with Clottey, I actually think Clottey will win. But talking about Floyd Mayweather ducking him is ridiculous. Mayweather would make him look like a child. Remember Cotto's face after the Gatti beatdown?? Then, you all say Cotto is the man at WW. If he was the man at WW, his promoter would have put him in vs. Paul Williams.

I hope he leaves Arum and fights Paul. Paul would destroy him. Do not get me wrong, Cotto is a great, exciting fighter. I love his boxing style and his body attack. He is a true warrior, and I like the fact he speaks his mind and is not afraid of Arum's b.s. But, some of the Cotto fans troll Mayweather and Williams threads and embarrass themselves. Cotto is a good fighter, but let's see him beat Clottey. From there, let's see him call out Paul Williams. Guys like Mosley, Cotto and Mayweather fighting little men like Hatton and Pacquiao is a joke. I wonder which WW will have the balls to fight Paul. Clottey probably would, but Arum would never let him. I would love to see Cotto move up to MW and fight Winky.

i also liked it better when cotto-stans were humble after the margarito loss. i wish margo would've never cheated. then cotto-stans would be humble forever.

Even with Arum I'd understand why maybe Floyd wouldn't take a fight with Cotto just yet considering their past history. But even with that being said Oscar had as much issues with Arum as Floyd did stemming from the whole signing of Pacquiao to GBP and Pac reverting back to Top Rank. But at the end of the day, money talks.

But back to Pauly...Paul Williams IMO is going to make his name in the higher divisions because he just isn't that marketable in a division filled with about 3 or 4 super fights. Unfortunately Pauly doesn't fit in that bracket. I know it sounds like a cop out, but it is what it is. But I do think Paul will make his name at 154 and 160 where he can turn into the top dog instead of playing second fiddle to Cotto, Mosley, Pacquiao, possibly Floyd...because that's exactly what he was.
