I think it's the other way around.

I think people are underestimating Cotto simply because he got beat by Margarito. So every guy now that comes up to fight him apparently is going to beat him. He's already proven he's one of the top fighters in the sport and him taking an L isn't IMO going to tarnish anything he has coming in the future.

It's almost back to the days when people were saying Zab and Mosley were supposed to school or KO Cotto.

I think a lot of people are gonna be like when they see how Cotto performs against Clottey, and I like Clottey too.

That makes a lot of sense. Cotto was too green for Floyd after the Gatti fight. So Floyd took on DLH and Hatton. Then Arum wanted Cotto to fight Margarito. Cotto lost. He just beat Jennings. So when should this fight have taken place?? And when did Mayweather duck him?? This is not a flame thread it's a fact stating thread. The fact of the matter is....Floyd would destroy him. So if the money was right, I am sure Floyd would have no problem beating down Cotto.
