Mayweather is not a household name except among hardcore fans. If everything you say is true, why aren't GBP and Arum jumping at the chance to make all that money? There is a lot more to the buisness aspect of this than you know.

This is about Floyd Mayweather not other fighters. All main event fighters get paid pretty well though in comparision to revenue (it depends on who is the star). I disagree as far as boxers though Mayweather is amongst the most well known in the United States. Dude, I am not talking about local cards and even then because they have such a small revenue they still make a decent % in comparison. I am talking about Floyd Mayweather, he has nothing in common with a small time main eventer at this point, so why compare them. Not every fighter makes it to the bigtime, so when you do like Floyd has done, you demand the world if you can (this has been my point all along btw), if no one steps up to his demands and he does not need the money, why settle for less unless you need the cash. Most other fighters would kill to get offered 10% of what gets offered to Floyd, but they are not Floyd so why bring them into this conversation.

In baseball a lucky few make it to the major leagues, while countless more chase their dreams getting paid a pittence in the minors. I would not compare some dude in the minors to Manny Ramirez.

Listen Floyd made HBO a bunch of cash on PPV, so they hold him in a very high regard (most likely), they do not have very many PPV cash cows left so it would make sence to get him back into the mix. Maybe he does not sell big when he comes back (I doubt it, although if he stays away to long it will have a very negative effect on his market appeal), but I am sure that HBO would love to find out.

so why is it then that, prior to Hatton, DLH and Gatti that he couldnt get more than 6,000 people in an ARENA IN MICHIGAN to watch him fight N'Dou...a title fight? drawing power?

I have met my fair share of boxers also, and I would venture a guess that if they were in Floyd's position they would do similar things. Some might have fought longer, or fought more but it was a job that they wanted to get paid well doing and not end up braindead (and broke)

Bob Arum would not take that kind of risk on a person he hates, I believe they also have some pending litigation, that probably hurts their chances of working together. Bob Arum also said Floyd could not make 10 million against Hatton nor 15 against Oscar, was he right about that also?

As for Golden Boy, they asked him to fight Mosley so it seems like they wanted him back. They just could not agree on a price, Golden Boy is entitled to their opinion on a fights worth but Floyd is entitled to his also.

I am pretty confident HBO would love to have him back in the mix, I think they would aid anyone in making a huge fight with Mayweather occur.

The only way to get him in the ring is to make him an offer he can not refuse, if he needs money later on I am pretty sure his demands will be different, but it is his right to demand whatever he sees fit.

I was at that fight my man. That was not a huge venue and Floyd is much bigger now. Back then you are right he was making millions when he had no right making that much. From the Gatti fight on he pretty much got paid his worth (with the notable exception of Mitchell, but that was on regular HBO). Also 6,000 for a boxing contest with one unknown fighter is not that bad.

850k with Hatton was a very impressive number as was the 2.4 million with Oscar. These were 2 huge fights, but it always takes 2 big time fighters to make a mega fight. The Judah fight was like 385k and that was not a heavily promoted HBO PPV so that is an impressive number as well.

Floyd brings a lot of buys with him (fans and people who want to see him get beaten up).
