Cotto's not to type to just single out one guy that he thinks he'd beat before the rest. He would normally be like "whoever it is, I will prepare the right way and be victorious" or ya know, that bull****.

This seems like he's hyping a fight almost...it's just too out of character otherwise.

I agree with Cotto, I think he can force Clottey to be very defensive which will make it hard for Clottey to win. I also think Clottey is open for the hook to the body and that is one of Cotto's money punches.

Clottey is a good fighter though, and there is always the possibility that he steps his game up because of how big this fight would be for him. Also if Clottey can force Miguel to face enough adversity, it is an unknown at this point how Cotto would react.

I prefer the Berto fight a little more because I think that fight would be better overall, but fighting Clottey would be cool in my book also though, as it is a pretty stiff challenge.

Cotto is really change. he didnt said well I will let my company and team choose. he said I will pick the opponent that make more sense financially and for his legacy. he is in charge of the boat now.

And I do agree that he can beat Clottey. Clottey doesnt have the offensive arsenal to deal with Cotto. Covering from shots dont win you fights unless you connect the other guy. Clotteys shell defense is very good, but is open for Left hooks, wich is Cottos money punch. Plus Clottey doesnt take body shots very good, and he tires out . I say if they do fight, Cotto TKO11 due to body shotss or a 115-112 UD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

But the way it sounds, they will pick Berto. More money, easier fight and the green belt!!!!!!!! It makes more sense for Cotto, thatn Clottey!!!!!!!!!

ppl r underestimating clottey. clottey hits harder and has the better chin. and clottey was killing margacheato until he broke his hand. clottey breezed thru zab while cotto was struggling until he low blowed judah TWICE lol. cotto has better movement but clottey hits as hard as mosley . fight is gonna b good!
