Miguel Cotto: "I am Sure That I Will Beat Clottey"

I like Cotto, but I would lose respect for him if he fought anyone other than Clottey or Mayweather. As much I would to see him destroy Berto, he should not fight him.

I want him to fight Clottey, he SHOULD fight Clottey. We all know Mayweather ain't coming outta retirement for Cotto.

But, if he doesn't select Clottey, then all he's left with is Berto and Cintron. Berto at least has a belt and his speed would make it interesting for a few rounds. Cintron's just gonna cry after he gets hit with that first left hook to the liver.

Andre Berto has unfinished business with Collazo especially since he already stated that he would give Collazo a rematch. To me if Cotto fights Berto then he is taking the easy way out. I'm not knocking the fact that he wants to make the most $ but on the real, how much more will he make against Berto or Cintron? Clottey would do a lot more for Cotto's hold and status at 147 that will get him more $ in the future.

ppl r underestimating clottey. clottey hits harder and has the better chin. and clottey was killing margacheato until he broke his hand. clottey breezed thru zab while cotto was struggling until he low blowed judah TWICE lol. cotto has better movement but clottey hits as hard as mosley . fight is gonna b good!

I agree with you 100%. I'm a fan of both fighters. However, I just think Clottey will be too strong and too fast down the stretch. Also don't forget that Clottey also has a great left hook to the body like Cotto. And if Cotto isn't careful he could get a taste of his own body punishing medicine. This will be a very competitive fight and one that the fans deserve but I'm picking Clottey by K.O. in the 10th.

Cintron es una desgracia para Puerto Rico y sus grandes campeones. Al igual que Margarito debería serlo para México...los verdaderos grandes campeones mexicanos no necesitan de tacticas anti-deportivas.

Berto sería una emocionante pelea por la velocidad y ofensiva que trae el jovén campeón...pero creo que Clottey sería la más dura prueba para Cotto de los tres.

Mosley sería lo mejor, pero creo que ya quedó claro que no se dará ese pleíto por un buen tiempo.

I think unless Clottey is more aggressive than usual that Cotto will win by close UD. Cotto has the speed and power to beat Clottey to the punch all night long. He wont KO him Clottey is too strong but he will land solid punches that will get him the points in the end!

I'm gonna go with Cotto UD. Clottey is a very defensive fighter where he keeps his hands high and stiff, leaving body vulnerable. He will be open to Cottos devastating left-hook to the body all night.

that'll be exactly the problem with clottey. he hit's hard, but he's slower than mosley by far. also, he's too defensive and likes to cover up, instead of throwing more combos

if the doesn't get more offensive, he's in for an ugly night, because he won't get a ko with his speed and punch output
