Both Richardson and Mosley's lawyer, Judd Burstein, saw what they believe to be a "plaster-like" material on both blocks of gauze. [details]

Plus he would probably have his licence suspended. I certainly hope he would.

Also, as others have said, even in the case of the Mosley fight, he is innocent until proven guilty, and people should wait until the investigation is complete before declaring him guilty.

I agree with you totally. Let's just say for the sake of argument, that Margarito is found guilty of using a illegal substance that would harden in his glove and give him an advantage. Unless there is physical proof or evidence you can't say that he used this substance in any of his previous fights. However, there will be that question mark if he did or didn't. And Margarito's credibility will be lost. I know almost 100% of the people that are hoping and writing that Margarito used this substance against Cotto, are Cotto fans. I don't blame them for thinking this because Cotto is idolized in Puerto Rico and to even think somebody would do something like that to their Puerto Rican Warrior just upsets them and makes them mad ( I admit if it were the other way around I would be pissed too). The fact is, like I said if there's no physical evidence, you can't prove anything.

Now I ask all boxing fans a question and challenge you ? Why isn't Shane Mosley brought to light in these talks. Ahhhhh, OUT OF SIGHT, OUT OF MIND. Now Shane Mosley declares that he unwillingly took steriods. He claims that he was unaware that the substances that he was putting in or on his body were a banned illegal substance. However, we do in fact know this. Mosley DID TAKE STEROIDS. NOW HOW CAN WE BE SURE THAT HE DIDN'T TAKE STERIODS BEFORE THE SECOND DELA HOYA FIGHT??????? What then? There is no evidence of Mosley taking steroids before the De La Hoya fight????? But there's that question mark???????????

TWO FIGHTERS WHO SUPPOSEDLY CHEATED ( I ONLY SAY SUPPOSEDLY BECAUSE THERE IS NO RULING OR INVESTIGATION RESULT YET FOR MARGARITO ), HOW TO DO YOU IN FACT, TRUTHFULLY, HONESTLY, CORRECTLY, 100% POSITIVELY KNOW- THEY CHEATED BEFORE THE INCIDENT.

Dont you know? Beating a puerto rican is considered a legacy. Why do you think guys like Hopkins, Chavez Sr., Ray Leonard, Arguello, Duran, etc. are considered alltime greats?

I can pose the same exact question to you... How do you IN FACT, TRUTHFULLY, HONESTLY, CORRECTLY, 100% POSITIVELY KNOW- HE DIDN'T CHEAT BEFORE THE INCIDENT? The answer is simple...we don't know either way, but it gives everyone something to talk about and that's fun for all BOXING fans (not just Puerto Ricans and Mexicans). People love talking ***t! It's life!

Good Point. We don't know either way. Now let me ask you this. How don't we know Mosley took steriods before the second De La Hoya fight??? You didn't touch on that? Furthermore, how don't we know Trinidad illegally wrapped his hands excessively also before the Hopkins fight??? Ahhhhhh.... Touchy subject I know. Back at ya buddy.

And you are right controversy sells. Boxing fans love to go back and forth.

Well, as much as I would like to think I have all the answers...I don't, but I'll give it a try. I think we would know Mosley cheated or didn't cheat by the post fight urine analysis or whatever kind of analyses boxers are given after the fight. If tests come out positive for steriods...well then he's ****ed! As for the whole Tito hand wrap controversy. Richardson just recently was quoted as saying it was similar to the Margarito incident in that there was also a hard plastic like shell! This was NEVER brought up before...it was always just extra gauze that could harden when wet. So, Tito and his camp were definitely in the wrong for the extra gauze thing...but I'm skeptical with the whole plastic shell thing...My opinion is that Ricahrdson enjoys the limelight and will say just about anything to make sure this gauze thing is looked at...which is not necessarily a bad thing for the sport in regards to the safety of all boxers. And hell yeah controversy sells, but it's unfortunate that it makes certain boxing commissions look like dumb***es!!!
