Cotto did all of those things except tie him up. And he wouldn't have had to if a plaster cast hadn't found his nose to impede his breathing.

Your boy got beat the **** up! Margarito ate his lunch and walked away... He took his best shots and showed no effects of slowing down. I can understand the hand wrap situation and I hate that Margarito's camp would resort to cheating... HOWEVER... we don't know yet if he used the same thing against Cotto. What we DO know is that with or without the illegally wrapped hands Margarito still packs a monster punch and Cotto still has a suspect chin (Corley, Torres, Judah x 2). So don't even TRY to say Cotto only lost to plaster of Paris that night. Margarito knocks Cotto out with or without that stuff. Now Im a proponent of the Marg v. Cotto rematch ASAP. Mosley had the right attitude when he came to fight Margo.. He didn't change his fighting style to accomodate that he was fighting a brawler. He stood toe to toe. Cotto changed his entire style.. Cotto is a ****er to the body. That whole night he was throwing combos and trying to box going backwards... THAT IS NOT MIGUEL COTTO. IF he would've stuck to his guns and sat in the pocket like Mosley he probably could've have knocked him out also but he TRIED to find an EASY way out by outboxing. If i was Cotto I would have found a way to go to the body like Mosley. Mosley fought PERFECT. Cotto Mosley 2 is a must have also.
I'm from the Midwest, and whiter than Clorox socks. And I still think Cotto wins without plaster wrapped fists. You KNOW that this wasn't Margarito's first try at cheating. It's just the first time he got caught. Cotto should be permitted his revenge. He boxed Marg's face off in that fight, but getting hit by bricks would wear on anybody.

Here some tissues go wipe those tears off your face. Last I remember Cotto got a UD over Mosley. And now that Mosley made the blue print on how to beat Margarito. Cotto will destroy Margarito in a rematch!!
    Bingo. Poorly worded, but bingo.

Margarito is not a real CHAMP but a real CHUMP...

After last nights fight it prove at least to me that Margarito is not a real CHAMP but a real CHUMP. After his win against Cotto everyone thought that he was the best of the best, yeah right, what a joke. Moreover, after the findings of his illegal wraps in his hand (that I bet it is not the first time that he's done it), it prove that his just another "champ/chump", like my first post explained few month ago. I would not doubt that Margarito had his illegal wraps against Cotto the night of their fight and maybe that its why he was so successful knocking out Cintron twice and maybe that proves why Margarito didn't what to fight Williams again after finding that he could not do anything against Williams even with his illegal wraps. Now if I was in Cotto's team I will look into Margarito's illegal wraps habits before considering a rematch with Margarito, I will prefer a match with Mosley and then Margarito if Margarito still around. Margarito's short stardom didn't last not even a full year, so what kind of a champ is he? a Chump...

Yo, do you read? read the reports, cotto punished marg so bad the last time that by this fight he still had some "lingering effects". In other words, cotto prepared marg for mosleys KO. at the end he is human too, you can only take by so much, it was to much for the "iron chin"....

I belive Cotto will get the rematch but not now. There's a very interesting situation going on right now that we the fans can probably benefit. If Cotto gets pass Jennings he should go to Cotto Mosley II (June). The winner of that fight can fight by the end of the year the winner of the Pacquiao-Hatton (May) fight. In the meantime Margarito can be fighting a easy fight in summer and then go after a guy like Berto or even Paul Williams (November December), and if he wins those fights, he gains a liitle prestige back and then can fight whoever comes out of Cotto-Mosley-Pacquiao-Hatton tournament, beginning next year (February -March 2010). All those potential fights, in that sequence, can generate a lot of intere$t, PPV revenue, sell out crouds and more important great action packed fights, that eventually will help rise boxing to a higher level during this year and keep us, boxing fans happy.

Just in case you ask, I beleive that Cotto can be the last man standing out of this mess that I just mentioned because he has the skills to beat Margarito in a rematch, won already against Mosley and I don't think Pacquiao can beat fighters like Mosley or Cotto who punch harder and are much more faster than De La Hoya at this stage of De La Hoya's career.

This is mini tournament is another proof that boxing DOESN'T NEED PRETTY BOY BACK!!!!

            Here's my two cents:

I believe that a Cotto/Margarito rematch would be bigger for Miguel Cotto than it would for boxing fans. Sure the thought of the match up still intrigues me as I've always contended that Cotto could beat Margarito had he more stamina but now with the loaded gloves incident looming over Margarito I'm left wondering how much of the Cotto defeat can be attributed to Margarito's relentlessness and how much can be pinned on loaded gloves. That said I'm sure Cotto would love to get revenge on the man who took him out but I'm far less interested in the rematch after last nights affair.

I've never disliked Margarito but I've always believed him to be a little overhyped. Sure the man has a top notch chin and fantastic stamina but he's always been easy to hit and takes a lot of punches. Mosley capitalized on those weaknesses last night and I think brought Margarito and the hype surrounding him back down to Earth. Furthermore I believe Margarito will be beat again by fighters who capitalize on the same things Sugar Shane did last night. It is because of these feelings that I would rather see Cotto go after someone like Berto, Williams, or even Mosley. Those match up's intrigue me far more than a rematch with Margarito does.

What I found most interesting about last night is that the "thud" and debilitating punches Margarito normally throws were absent last night. I may be making more out of this than need be, but I'm assuming that his punches carry far less weight than they do when his gloves are loaded. I think Margarito is pretty much done...but I could be wrong.

Cotto Should not take the June fight with Marga, instead he should take on a title holder, maybe Shane.

I think that the rematch should still happen, but if he can fight Shane first, go for the bigger fight in Shane.
