Manny Pacquiao Agrees To 50-50 Split For Hatton Bout

Promoter Bob Arum of Top Rank has revealed that Manny Pacquiao has come to his senses and accepted the agreed upon 50-50 split to fight Ricky Hatton on May 2 in Las Vegas. Arum expects the fight to be signed by the end of the week. The media blitz began when Pacquaio's attorney Franklin Gacal told reporters that his fighter would not accept a 50-50 split and wanted a deal with terms for a 60-40 cut. Not long after those words reached the media, Hatton's attorney, Gareth Williams, threatened to sue Pacquiao for backing away from the deal that was verbally agreed upon. [details]

i'm glad he came too his senses...he was bugging and letting the hype get to him. Can't wait for this fight, will get a lot of answers about fighters and their trainers.

Good to know... but did Pacquiao really ever think he was going to get 60% over Hatton? Or was this buying time for some unknown reason? Maybe there were secret Pac-PBF talks going on and Pac needed to buy a few days... ooh... conspiracy.... but not outrageous!

What was outrageous was Pac thinking he deserved the lion's share

good boy Pacquiao. I didnt think you would give up this fight just because of the purse bid, but I have to admit I was getting a little worried.

              oh man...I cant wait.

and you know what, I didnt think I would do this, but I give a thumbs up to Arum. he fixed this little problem and is actually trying to make his Pavlik and Cotto PPV worthwhile by adding on Clottey vs. Cintron on it. hes not perfect, but hes doing a real good job right now.
keep up the good work, keep making the best fights.
