well if Hatton can fight UK backyard style and illegal hold and hit in the balls, rabbit punch/wrestle Pac Man to death like he did Kosta then he might have a chance if the ref's a douche who lets anything go.

He cant outbox Pac from the outside, thats not his game and if he just incorporated with Floyd Sr., Pac will expose it. Even the best technical fighters in Pac's passed division had problems. You cant be technical with a fighter who keeps coming, hell takes one to throw four, fast head and foot movement, and knows the ring like the back of his hand. The only real success fighter with Pac's style was Marquez. Marquez was patient waiting for Pac to throw first then countering. This is style is far from what Hatton does in the ring.

So whats Hatton going to do? Rely on his old ways, punch then clinch, work the body and break Pac down on the inside. Now how is he going to do that when Pac keeps moving and throwing as Hatton keeps coming in. Hatton doesnt have the greatest defense (Floyd's Check Hook), he leaves himself open when coming in. Pac will be to fast for Hatton and WILL GET IN his shots on Hatton all night. Pac will utilize the stick and move technique to avoid Hatton from rushing in. Speed will be to much for the Hitman. Another David Diaz massacre.
You are just dillusioned because Manny made an old and faded Oscar look like he was old and faded. This is allot like when Roy beat up on Tito. Sure he looked great, but when he got into the ring with Calzaghe the real deal showed itself. He was old and faded and it showed up. The same happened to Oscar. Manny is fresh and prime but the difference in competition will show up. He will now be fighting a prime fighter who can close the gap on him and throw hard body shots on the inside. I would not be too suprised if Manny gets dropped with a body shot. All in all I beleive that Hatton has a good chance to win this. Only Floyd has been able to break Hatton's style and it took him almost 10 rounds to do it. Manny is smaller and not as clever as Floyd is and Hatton will give him all he can handle even if he does lose. I will put a gaurantee on that. There is no obliteration in the cards for this fight from either end.

Wait... Hatton has a poor defense because he abandoned his gameplan against the number one pound for pound fighter in the world, spent three rounds walking onto right hands and got caught with a big hook?

Don't get me wrong, Hatton iain't not Willie Pep, but it always puzzles me when people say "Hatton is no good, Floyd Mayweather beat him!"

I would say Hattons chances are good because he has always won at 140. So you have to say he has a better chance than Pac who has never won at 140.
Judge Hatton by his last fight against malignaggi. Pac might also have beaten Mallignagii but i doubt he could have done it as good as Hatton.

It is an even stevens fight. If it wasnt i dont think people would get excited about it as much as they are getting.

Agreed. Oh and we can disregard anything that Frank Warren says about Ricky Hatton.

One thing is for sure - it will be a much better fight than DLH/Pac. Hatton having Mayweather Snr in his corner means he may actually show up with a gameplan other than walking thru and into his opponents punches.

I concur exactly that notion. There should be no shame in losing to the P4P #1. Allot of people forget that he did beat former top 2-3 P4P fighters in Kostya Tszyu and Jose Castillo. Allot of people think Castillo has a win over Mayweather too. I am one of them.

Or Joe Calzaghe for that matter. He is full of crap whether he is truthful or not about their pasts.
