Floyd is better than that, he doesnt have to resort to such crude gimmicks to sell a fight.
His talent can speak for itself. When he acts like a bafoon on t.v it makes black people look bad and it alienates a lot of potential fans.
    Thats just the troof.
How does floyd make black people look bad?
    Please explain please do?

Because I am really curious to find out what was your thought process was when you wrote this post

I don't think Mayweather makes black people look bad at all. He succeeds at what he does, is pretty articulate, etc.

He's ****y and is a jerk on camera, but... it's pretty obvious that he is the bad guy to generate interest in his fights. Anyone who can't see that is an idiot.

Now... someone like James Toney, especially in that interview with Jim Grey after the Holyfield fight... he makes black people look bad.

My half-black best friend said he was disgusted by it, and that people like Toney is the reason that a lot of people don't take black people as seriously as they should.

Because when he portrays himself as a charicature of the "black ****** fabulous" hip hop cliche, throwing money in the air, showing off his bling etc... people who might be new to the sport or not know that he's putting on an act will think he might be representing black people.
And that is an unflattering portrayal of black people to say the least. You might not think so but a lot of people including a lot of black people cringe when they see that ****.
What he does when he acts like that is nothing short of a modern day minstrel show, where the black entertainer acts like a bafoon for the white audiences amusement.
For a guy with his skill level, he doesnt need to resort to that.

I dont think no one person can make an entire race look bad.
What one person can do is fit into a stereotypes that people give to a certain races.

But Make an entire race look bad?

          No way.

The Only person who has come close to making an entire race look bad was Hitler... and even saying that is pushing it

For a guy like yourself, a HUMAN being, you don't need to resort to generalize a whole race like that. Just because one person shows those types of characteristics doesn't mean everyone is.

I know plenty of people who act in the manner that Mayweather does and they're not black. One person does not represent the whole population, what you're doing is called being prejudice.

As far as "******" stereotypes, not everyone is like that. How ********** act is dependent on many factors.

              Too add to your post.
It is very ignorant to associate a genre of music to a race of people.

Can I associate the horrors of Rock Music and devil worship to white people and to people who like rock?

              NEWS FLASH

              everybody is not the same.
people are more a product of their environment rather than their race anyways.

I get what you are saying... you are right.

I meant what you said in your second sentence, that his actions justified the ****** steriotypes that people give to black people as being loud, ignorant, etc.

It's kind of sad, because the steriotypes are really ****** and hurtful, but then when someone of that race does ****** **** that justifies them... well I think that would piss me off more than anything if I was black.

I think Hitler made humanity as a whole look bad more than anything, because it proved how ****ed up a human being could be. But yeah, that example did put it in my mind that no one person can make an entire race look bad.

Im not generalizing the ENTIRE RACE... my point is that to the uninitiated to the sport or to Floyd all it does is when he acts like that is play into the negative sterotypes that are ALREADY out there.
I'm aware that he doesnt represent every black person out there but to a lot of people perception is reality and they assume its that way.
Floyd has the power and position to change that and I say its a damn shame that instead of changing it he plays right into it.

That's also true... although some races are more involved in certain types of music than others. The amount of white rappers is pretty low, and the amount of good white rappers is less than 5. The amount of black heavy metal screamers is also pretty low.

But it does piss me off when I am listening to The Hardest by AZ and Styles P and people are like... LOL NEWS FLASH, YOU ARE WHITE.

Here's another news flash: I like the music, so eat every **** in the world, k?

Steriotypes are the downfall of race relations.

It is very true what you just said.
Music is universal. and also the kind of music people like also could be a direct correlation to their environment

If you come from an environmental were injustice and poverty is kind of normal you might like the blues or certain types of rap music.

If you come from an environmental were it is a tradition to hunt and you like people to say out of your business you might be more attracted to country music.

If you come from an environment in which you have a chill lifestyle and your parents always have you evolved in ****. You are more than likely to like chill music such as indie rock and neo soul.

So It quite funny when people associate genres of musics to people rather than environmental and culture
