Ricky Hatton Can Stop Manny Pacquiao, Says Floyd Sr.

1. Hatton hasn't ever struggled with weight, LWW is totally natural for him.
2. Hatton did walk through Malinaggi, go back and watch the fight again.
3. Miguel Cotto couldn't stop Malinaggi either the guy has a chin that stand up next to anyone in the lower weights.

Hatton can def. get to Manny, I think he has the quicker feet. But Hatton's defense hasn't improved and he's gonna eat a lot of counter right hooks. It'll def. be a good fight. I think the key to a Hatton victory is not smother himself like he did against Floyd and also focus heavily on Manny's body. Manny will be the faster handed fighter, and I'm interested in seeing how Hatton reacts when Manny starts to let the combinations go.

I'm rooting for Manny, even though I also like Hatton. But since Hatton has already begun mentioning retirement, I'm not really interested in seeing him win if he's not going to take his career much further.

Hatton stopping Pacquiao

I think if Hatton manages to cut off the ring well and manages to catch Pacquiao with one of his body shots, there is a chance of Hatton slowing him down giving him an opportunity to knock him out. However saying something and doing it are two different things, I think Hatton will struggle to get through Pacquiao's fast hand speed and combination's, so I think Manny will control the fight in his favor. My prediction is Pacquiao by decision or maybe late TKO, but it is still early days yet so I think I will have to see what I think and feel closer towards the fight.

Just like to say that I have only been joined up to this forum for one day and I think it is great how we can all express our opinions to one another.

This is nonsense, Hatton doesnt have the punching power to KO manny first of all. Second Manny have one of the best chins in all of boxing,plus mannys defense is very good, plus hatton will be eating left hands like crazy!!!!!!

I agree, but you have to take into account that Pacman has a great chin at SFW not LWW, equally he has great power at FSW not LWW.

He can probably carry it up to LWW which is why i think he will win but to totally discount it, is silly.

Even if Pac didnt have a solid chin, how would you hit it if he's constantly moving his head, moving to the right, lateral movements. Hatton would have to slow Pac down in the inside which I doubt it would be that type of fight. For Hatton to get inside, he would have to taste a few lefts and combos.

I agree, Ricky can stop Pac, so could of Delahoya, Diaz, etc... the question is, is he going to...?

ugly old floyd is fast becoming a prophet of doom. what else can be expected from this ugly man? the man has not predicted a win for pacman ever since, and he has eaten all his prediction.

this is the same trainer who said that pacman know how to punch but doesn't know how to box. he also predicted an easy for oscar against pac but pacquiao turned delahoya into a mitts.

even if hatton will take his trainer with him inside the ring to slug it out with pac, pacman will still beat hatton and ugly old floyd... inside the distance.

Wow...I wasn't aware Pacquiao had such a great jab or much of a jab that it became a concern. I guess they should forget about the straight left leads and most importantly focus on that crazy jab that everyone worries about when they face Manny...LoL

I honestly don't see Hatton beating Pacquiao. As good of a boxer Hatton is, Manny Pacquiao has just improved so much. Some say Hatton has the power to knockout Manny. Maybe he does, but the point is.. you can't knockout a person who's not even in front of you. Meaning Manny will bob and weave and turn Hatton like he did Dela Hoya. I think Pacquiao will be the bigger fighter in the fight. His speed, power, and illusiveness will leave Hatton punching nothing but air and leave him open for Pacquiao to knock him out.
