Pacman is the #1 p4p and nobody else

Pacman doesn't have to fight mayweather to prove that he is the #1 p4p king. The whole world knows that already except the pacman heaters. especially those who lost a lot of money from de la hoya fight.
Pacquiao doesn't have to fight Mayweather anymore in 2009 because they will have a rematch with Hatton and that will be his last fight before he will retire. Rematch with hatton will generate more PPV because both boxers are exciting to watch. They are both offensive, have both hand speed and power. They have millions of fans all over the world from east to west. Mayweather and Hatton can have their rematch in 2010. Pacman doesn't have to fight for the record anymore. He got that already. He will only fight which makes more money on his last two fights then retire.

its good for boxing... because.... he knows how to put boxing in the mainstream even if that takes to act like a jerk sometimes - which im cool.. cos its part of the game.

It would be good for boxing if he comes back.

It would be GREAT & PERFECT FOR BOXING if he comes back and gives the fans the fights they want!! they are rooting for his hero to proove that hes the best.. but

this is not to prove who is the best.

      u decide.

At this stage, Floyd is only pimping the fans and the sport. His only concern is unretiring to face a marketable fighter in which he can make a nice chunk of change fighting against, then retire again. Can someone explain how this is good for the sport?

It will be good for Pacman. Defeating Mayweather will be the "CROWNING ***EL" of Pacquiao's boxing legacy. I'm predicting this to happen in 2009 or 2010. The sooner the better. JAT

Boxing needs a rebel to get people wound up and that is what Floyd does to casual fans. He is great for the sport and I miss the buzz around him when he fights.

Just like boxing needs the good guys it also needs the bad guy, The guys who put all the pressure on themselves by acting and talking ****.

If all boxers are the same like oscar or cotto then we wouldnt tune in to watch them half of the time.

I dont know if i can agree with u there. I'd rather tune in to watch a fighter over a talker anyday.

I disagree, a DLH/Cotto 24/7 would be boring while a Floyd/Mayorga 24/7 would be entertaining ( Just using them fighters as examples ) Love him or hate him, Floyd knows how to put asses in seats, and a return would only do good for boxing IMO. The more big fights the better and any fight involving Floyd is a big fight.

Yes he can put asses in seats with his big mouth, but can he satisfy once those asses are in the seats? I can do without all the drama and trash talking. Just give me a good fight. The **** talking and drama are just extra to help build the fight. Look how much it did for the casual fan who tuned in to see Floyd/Oscar. All talk and no action come fight time.

Take Marquez/Vasquez for example. Those two let thier fist do the talking. That's the type of fight i prefer.

                      ^ I agree.

In fact, I feel that a fight that doesn't live up to its hype and buildup, its essentially bad for the sport in the long run. I know most of the people I talked to felt totally ripped off and dissapointed with the Mayweather-De La Hoya fight, even though the hype for it was ridiculously huge.

A lot of it had to do with the fact that Floyd babbled on about how there was supposed to be some sort of fireworks on the way, and then on fight night, there wasn't so much as a single firecracker throughout the fight.
