Why ask where Floyd would be without his reflexes, where Paquiao would be without his power. It's totally useless, because they do have the god given ability. So why? Chin is no different than reflexes, or punching power, or speed.

to be honest, as a fighter - if i would take a knee I would rather take a knee againest a skilled fighter who speed, and/or power overwhelmed me and beat me to my game. I would hate to lose to someone who took my heavy punches all these rounds and hadn't stop comming at me. that **** seems frustrating..

At the world class level you work with what you were born with and try to hone natural skills to maximum efficiency. Blazing handspeed, footspeed, one punch knockout power, razor sharp reflexes and a solid chin are all inborn talents. You could definitely improve what you have by proper training but once you step into the world class level you'll quickly find out whether you possess natural talent in any of those areas are not.
Margarito is not simply chin, he's about excellent conditioning, unmatched mental toughness, good power and ability to commit to volumes of punches all the while stalking and cornering faster, more elusive opponents. He forces rivals to fight his fight and when that happens it's game over.

He'd probably be dead... with the bombs Cintron and Cotto landed on him back to back, I can't imagine his body would not just give up on life if he was not able to take those punches.

"No, Margarito just goes in there with his head down and wails away like a local street goon.
Dude has absolutely no skill at all.
Never mind that hes been boxing since he was a kid, hes just a guy with a steel chin who throws nothing but wild punches.
Margarito doesn't apply any technical aspects to his game plan at all."
At least thats what Thadrow wants you to believe.
IF Margarito wasn't blessed with his ability to take punches, I'm pretty sure he'd either be a lot faster with his hands, or better defensively.
However, he was blessed with a great chin and utilizes his talents knowing he can take a great shot. Does he always get out of the way? No, but he doesn't just stand there the way Mayorga did against Tito either. Look at how many early punches he picked off with his gloves in the Williams fight? Not a high number of those punches landed. They were evaded and picked off for the most part. Cotto caught Tony more but in no way was Margarito just standing there waiting to be hit.
I'm just wondering how Cotto got so busted up if Margarito has no skill?
Chins don't punch.

If Mayweather was just a fraction slower in handspeed and reflexes he probably would have been knocked out half a dozen times by now and the same goes for RJJ.
