So, if Ricky did in fact show up at 149 by fight time after weighing in at 145; that's his usual fight time weight when he fights at 140.
Floyd fights at the same weight as other JrWW do for fight-time; 149...same weight Ricky tends to weigh-in at for JrWW.
So you see, even though these fighters fight in the 140 pound division, they tend to show up, like Ricky, at 149. Which means, if Ricky fought at 149 and even though the fight with Floyd is at 147, it's the "normal/JrWW" Ricky.
Ricky had the ability to show up at his best weight which his team said he would do and not make the same mistake they did with Collazo and show up to heavy.
It's all about HOW MUCH THEY WEIGH AT FIGHT TIME; AND NOT WHAT THE DIVISION SAYS, that you should consider in this case. Or let me guess: The fact that it said "Welterweight" somehow hurt Ricky Mentally even though he was going up against a former lightweight and the smallest Welterweight in the division who shows up at 149 by fight time like most of the JrWW do by fight-time
Understand?

You're basing yourself at the weights when in fact you don't give a damn about the size of the Welterweights. Hatton was unbeatable at 140. Nowhere near someone could have beaten him.. At 147 He was outworked by an unknown Collazo. So way before Floyd fought him, Collazo already outworked him. At 140, no one including Kosta, Malignaggi and everyone can beat him. .Consider the height, reach and the size first ******o.
Again, if Ricky weighed in that night against Floyd at 150 or under, then that is the same weight he comes in at for his JrWW bouts. The only difference is that he wouldn't have to drain himself to make 140. When he fights at JrWW, he doesn't fight at 140 by fight time; it's closer to 150.
You judge it by the weigh-in weight in this case and not what the fight is promoted at. Ricky was fighting Floyd, not Margarito. Floyd fights at 149 by fight-time; same weight as Jr.WW and Ricky.
This is a very simple thing to grasp.
Which, is why I ask: Please tell me how old you are and your educational background...it could even be the books you read. This will help me grasp where you are at so that if you still don't get it, I wouldn't have to bother. Like say you are 9; I could possibly understand why you don't get it.
Again: HE FOUGHT FLOYD AT WELTERWEIGHT; A FOMER LIGHTWEIGHT WHO WEIGHED 149 POUNDS BY FIGHT TIME; JUST LIKE RICKY DOES FOR HIS JRWW BOUTS. This was a JrWW bout without the weigh-in; just Fight-Time weight.
In addition: So why would you want Floyd, a former 130 pound Champion to face Margarito, Cotto, and Williams?
I have my reasons, but what are yours.

Of course PBF wouldn't have interest in fighting Hatton or Pacquiao.
He thinks he has already accomplished everything in the ring. And It's a matter of self preservation. It's clear that PBF is not a risk taker, and who want's a boxer who thinks that he's the best but doesn't fight the best challenger
there is and retire instead. But it's still good for boxing fans to have Hatton and Pacquiao, fighters who are willing to take risks just to prove who's the best and give boxing fans world class boxing entertainment that they deserve.

You're basing your ****** own rules about the weights when in fact that doesn't apply in reality. Hatton didn't had a hard time making 140.. Just accept the fact Collazo made Hatton an ordinary fighter before Floyd fought him at 147. How about the size, reach and height. You're ****** logic is for your own ******ity. Floyd is still gay though. Didn't you even wonder why Hatton gets outmuscled when he fought at Welterweight?
the Fact is, Hatton refused the fight twice at 140 against Floyd. When the fight was made, Floyd made it at 147 where he was Champ.
Hatton's own team said they wouldn't make the same mistake as they did with Collazo and come in like a Welterewight (by fight time) because Ricky got tired...so, they went with his normal at fight time weight when he fights at JrWW.
The Fact is, Ricky weighs in at 149 or so for his 140 pound division fights. He weighed around that or the same weight from what I read on fight night against Floyd. Why? because Graham and Kayes thought that was his best weight; they wanted him to come in as a JrWW...fight time weight of course.
Floyd, comes in at 149 as well.
The big difference is they just didn't have to drain to get down to 140.
My logic is right; yours is not.
It's a 140 pound division fight without the charade of a weigh-in.
Next time Ricky comes in at 140 by fight time; call me.
You know Zahir Raheem schooled Morales, right?
Right before Pac got a hold of him for 2 and 3.
