The crazy part is they could get a ref from anywhere but they appoint one from the hometwon. I don't understand how that could happen and what did the ref expect for him to go lay on the ropes, he was very close to that corner. Bute wouldn't of gotten up in time, no doubt in my mind at 10 he was almost up but that doesn't count. The joke is that Andrade's cornerman might get suspended while the ref is still doing important fights. If an immediate rematch isn't mandated it is a disgrace. A couple last parting shots...Bute's corner are a bunch of morons...Bute fought a great fight and its not his fault the ref was a joke but as a man he should demand a rematch.

Bute said he would give a rematch. But why do you say that Bute's corner are morons?? It wasn't their fault if the ref screwed up... I agree that the ref shouldn't be a hometown, BTW.

Bute beat the count (got up at 9), but the fight should've been stopped. He was finally stood up JUST as the count reached 9 and was still out and glassy-eyed. Lane, Nady or Steele would've stopped it...interesting, huh?

Andrade has nothing to worry about. This shouldn't be psychologically damaging. Although he didn't get the win, he should rest easy knowing deep down that he pulled the rabbit out of the hat, they just took it away...

As for Bute, I was impressed with his accuracy and speed, but man...just as my dad and I were sayin'...what an idiot. He was smiling and all when the decision was announced...I for one wouldn't be completely proud of that controversial victory...

Before the final round they are telling Bute to go after Andrade and finish him off. Take emotions out of your conering and tell him to do what it takes to win. Tell him to keep boxing and stay out of danger. But by telling him to finish him off, he used too much energy in the first half of the final round.

I didn't hear that... All I heard was Stéphane Larouche saying that if Bute wanted to stay the champ, he needed to give everything he had left and survive 3 minutes. Maybe I missed something, maybe the English translation was bad... But if Larouche really said what your telling me, that was ****** indeed.

Yeah it was a great fight though and I was impressed with Bute and I don't think this was anything wrong with his chin, just stamina in the final round. His chin actually seems good but both fighters should of went more to the body. Good fight but that ref was horrific. Aside from the 20 count he didn't see any of the headbutts by either fighter or Bute lifting Andrade's legs off the ground twice or his continuous holding and pushing. And Andrade wasn't knocked down clearly. Sign me up and I'll ref the next title fight for free other than this bum

Terrible ending aside, was it actually a good fight throughout?

I realy enjoyed it. Bute dominated most of the fight with his handspeed and southpaw stance. I gave Andrade rounds 4-5-12. I am really happy with what Bute showed, except for the last round of course. Andrade have been his usual self. He deserves a revenge for sure.

The fight was alright, it was a bit one sided until the 12th round, I had Bute winning 10 of the first 11 rounds, the 12th round was the best round of the fight and obviously, the most controversial.

The fight would have been MUCH closer if Bute wasn't allowed to hold so much.
