He'll eventually get the nod, but damn near nobody gets in the first year they're eligible. This cry of injustice by Naz fans is ludacris in my opinion.

One thing I've learned in my many years following this sport, and my 2 years being on this website is this : You cannot reason with Gatti fans. They are as punchdrunk as the man himself.

I wouldn't vote for Gatti to get into the hall of fame.. I doubt they would either.
Neither Gatti nore Hamed deserve it. I like Gatti but it's the sad truth.

As long as Andy Kolle gets in, that's the main thing.

i know gatti is far more likeable than hamed and had many great fights but come on, he was pretty average skill wise and didnt achieve a hell of a lot...(when you compare his achievments to other guys on the elite level im saying, he did achieve a lot by most standards)

hamed was tremendously skilled and talented, and he achieved heaps. he should be a shoo in HoFer
you must be smoking some good ish. Hamed record is littered with bums!
If I had to chose one.. which I don't think either deserve it but if I did have to chose one and only one of those two it would be Gatti.

Of course Hamed deserves to get in, he unified all the belts held them for a long time, his only loss was to Barrera. He also did a lot for the sport, He pretty much single handedly got people into the low weight classes so the fighters could enjoy big paydays.

I think his ****y persona and the way he finished in the sport puts a lot of people off him, but it shouldnt take away from what he achieved. IMO a lot of people mustve been too young to truly appreciate how big Naz was when he was around and the impact he had on the sport.
