Calzaghe, Hatton, Taylor Talk Pavlik vs. Hopkins

I think he picked Hopkins because he still thinks of Hopkins as the fighter he beat three years ago, not the one we saw against Calzaghe. Remember, Taylor has said he doesn't watch a lot of fights.

Plus I think he respects Hopkins' skill more than Pavlik's. Hell, I think most of us do. But with an old fighter it doesn't necessarily come down to skill and skill alone.

JT has fought both guys twice and he siad he likes Hopkins's chances.....no matter what some you might say, I'd take his word over everybody's! he knows both fighters better thany any poster here or any of the fighters that were questioned!

Easy probably ugly win for Pavlik...

the Calzaghe fight showed me that Hopkins ain't got it no more. He supposed to be a proud man and is faking a low blow??? From Joe ''I can't punch a lick" Calzaghe??? Pavlik stays at the end of his punches so he won't caught with a counter... let's see how long he can run... sooner or later Pavlik will get him... Hopkins will probably quit on his stool or start a new world record for faking low blows to hear the final bell and start arguing that he should have won.

Still unbelievable to me how ppl think Hopkins beat Calzaghe... you guys must have also seen that DLH beat Mayweather... and that Cotto won every round until he got knocked out by Margarito... god damn... don't let hate rule you... only because Calzaghe is overrated he still beat Hopkins pretty easily... it wasn't his best performance and it was ugly... but he was never in jeopardy to loose this fight, sorry folks

JT remembers how easy it was for him to shoot the counter right over the top of Pavlik's jab; that was the most substantial shot he landed in either fight and he did it multiple times, always seeming to surprise Pavlik. It may not have worked for him in terms of a victory but it could work for Hopkins, who is a better, more accurate counter puncher with the power of a LHW.

How long did it take for Calzaghe to fight a guy as good as Hopkins is right now. A hell of a lot longer than it took Pavlik to. If people knock Mayweather, they need to know Joe just as bad. They both ducked fighters, atleast Mayweather fought all the top guys at 130 except Kotsyu. They both are going to retire without fighting the young undefeated lion of their division. Joe deserves a lot of bashing.
