I'm not particularly a fan of either, but I believe Pavlik here. I have a feeling he'd much rather fight Calzaghe than Calzaghe fight him.

I made a thread about this earlier and this is what I was talking about.

I find there little dispute very interesting and Joe's side of the story seems more like horse **** between the two. I think he makes **** up.

Also watch the PAV vs LOCK fight and in the end notice Pav calling out Joe Calzaghe, now notice Joe stating in the interview today that after the Pav VS LOCK fight, Pav didn't call him out..... hmmm now tell me WHY I should take Joe's word on anything..... He was in fact wrong and I think he makes **** up. Like stating to offer Pav a fight not once but twice.

Maybe he just forgets things and is not intentionally lying, but either way he is/was wrong.

anyway its interesting that pav thinks Roy has a pretty good chance on winning......

CAUSE THERE WAS NO AMERICANS FIGHTING!! all you guys care about are how you guys percieve it!!! when was the last time 50,000 people went to a fight in the states??
Trust me it would be huge...anyway Kessler would have to destroy the next bum and then a "bigger" name after him to get a fight with Pavlik anyway so he will be known hopefully for the step up fight (hopefully not Froch!!!)...hey Taylor needs a solid challenge??? that too would be huge.
The american fans will take to Kessler like a fish to water...hes a gentleman and hes entertaining in the ring with KO power...im not saying hes the greatest but he's bloody good!!!

If I remember correctly, Pavlik mentioned Abraham. Only when the interviewer said Calzaghe did it draw a cheer from the crowd forcing Pavlik to comment. And it was hardly the firmest of challenges. Something about listening to his team.

Then when he's signed for Hopkins and Joe's signed for Jones, its suddenly,

"Ive gotta shoot Joe in the leg to stop him running"

                    Yes and Joe said differently.

He said his name wasn't mentioned at all. Pav said he would fight anyone and Joe Calzaghe was the topic. So Joe was in fact mentioned. Pav was saying what a lot of "fans" wanted him to and that was to call out AA. But he said he would fight Calzaghe when asked.

Joe was mentioned and yes the crowd went crazy when asked about Joe.

Joe said he wasn't mentioned after the fight at all. Point is, He was.

It wasn't until Joe agreed to fight Pav did he start to really trash talk...... don't get it twisted. Pav keeps wondering why Joe keeps talking about him.... That's all Joe has done lately since signing to fight Roy... funny no?

                      Sup man,

yeah I hope the fight does happen because IF Joe is going to REALLY retire I don't understand why he is talking so much about Pavlik. Its annoying, especially when he is the one who chose to fight Roy Jones Jr not Pavlik.

It could just be Joe is hyping himself up so IF he beats Roy he can look forward or have motivation to a fight Pav. I dont know.....
