your saying margarito is a coward and cotto has heart?

i would like to see a rematch ....but cotto showed without constant running he stands no chance against TOny....he doesnt have the punching power to hurt true welterweights nor the chin to go toe to toe with Margarito.... will be like Cintron all over again but this time Tony will KO cotto in 9 rounds

I love how people are trying to **** on Tony's heart and trying to pump up Cotto's decision to take this fight. Cotto is an elite fighter, if he wouldn't welcome this fight it would be strange, especially because he had never been beaten before and because he was stopped so viscously at the end.

But when we talk about heart, Margarito took a lot of punishment in that fight and none of it made him waver, he showed true heart and determination. Cotto showed heart to get as far as he did when the beating got really bad in the final couple of rounds, but he had the look of a beaten man long before Margarito stopped him, and say whatever you want but even when Tony was getting the short end of the stick in the first half he was never once discouraged.

what takes more heart to get flush on the chin repeatedly or to avenge a loss?

Arum says the fights will take place on the same day, but in different cities. Margarito would headline an event in Los Angeles and Cotto would be in the top spot of a card in Puerto Rico. If both fighters win, Arum would like to make a rematch in June, with the fight landing in New York, Las Vegas or Los Angeles. [details]

he just wants to get a payday from margarito. he also knows the beating will end quicker this time. it wont go more than 4 rounds. i am not even sure cotto will beat his next opponent unless its a total bum. margarito has ruined this man.

It depends on the situation. In this case I'd say Cotto is showing tons of heart because he was badly beaten and wants to avenge it. But people who are saying Tony is a coward are not looking at the fact that he took much more punishment in the Cotto fight than in the Williams fight despite the results. Yet he is still willing to fight Cotto, probably because it makes better financial sense in the long run. But it is a more dangerous fight despite previous outcomes.

ps. I'd rather see him fight Williams.

Cotto has NO doubt about beating Margarito. Apparently he knows he can whoop that ass in a rematch. I don't think he sounds damaged at all.

He looked frustrated cause he knew he was gassed... Not beaten. What I saw that night was.. **** it, I am spent... I gotta do this another night when I am not fighting with a ****ed up nose.

See: Vazquez vs Marquez I "no mas... I cang breeth!!!" ~Vasquez.
He looked frustrated? that mo'****a had the classic "Deer in the headlights" look after round 3. Your boy quit like a ***** and took a knee bowing to his daddy Margarito

You know the funny thing, is when they call the broken nose an "injury"..hahahaha.

Shalafi, you can tell they have never put on gloves and have never been in the gym.

I hate to break it to them, I don't know about how they fight in PR or in NYC but in Cali and in Mexico, a broken nose isn't an injury, it's a distraction.

I have had mine broken plenty of times, the first time it's bad but the more it happens, the easier it is to deal with it. Maybe it was Cotto's first time but you deal with it and go on as Cotto did. The nose had NOTHING to do with the fight going Marg's way, stop making excuses, you people sound pathetic.

Fighters have fought with broken jaws, broken noses and broken hands and still fought on. Cotto did his best but Marg just stalked him like a lion does a gazell.

                      Margarito short reign

Look Margarito will lose his title as soon as he fights Clottey or Williams and He Knows It. Why do you think he isnt even mentioning williams. Clottey is his mandatory and he has no choice but to fight him. clottey was easily beating margarito till he broke his hands. the diffrence between Clottey & williams is they have the stamina and chin to beat margarito easily compared to cotto. Theres a reason margarito is chasing delahoya instead of fighting the real fight he wants to make a quick money fight before he loses his title to clottey or williams

                      Clottey over Margarto 10,000K
                      Williams Over Margaritio 50,000k
