knocking hopkins out is a stretch, but not impossible for a guy like pavlik. i see pavlik dominating the fight either way.

Good argument. Hopkins foot movement is more efficient.. I think your sleeping on Pavliks skill though.. also if you look at the Bhop vs Slappy fight.. Bhop was getting hit fairly easily. Pavlik has power but he's more technical than people give him credit for. Slappy easily found Hopkins. Pavlik is going to be right in front of him.. I just dont see Bhop being as physical over 12 rounds. With all that said I think the biggest factor will be how Pavlik carries 170lbs. Will he be more effective than Tarver at 175? With all Tarvers power he got blown out for 12 rounds. Its going to be interesting.

No, he wasn't. I know it may have appeared that way at times but I promise you if you go back and watch the fight and if you have time, play the exchanges in slow motion and you will see that Calzaghe landed next to nothing.

I had Taylor/Pavlik II for Taylor by 1 point.....Taylor had made adjustment in camp and was outboxing Pavlik. Pavlik came into the fight doing the same ol 1-2 jab,jab, right hand routine and relying on his power. **** even in the 11 when Pavlik hurt taylor with that right hand to the body, Taylor knew how to survive, something he couldn't do in the first fight because of adjustment.

Even when Pavlik was throwing 1,000 punch per round, Taylor would win them because of clean effective punching and using "defense" (high guard) to take away a lot of Pavlik flow.

Calzaghe was limited to a SD with BHop.....Bhop is going expose Kelly badly, even if Kelly win....it will be by decision.

Bhop, Toney, Mayweather.....these guys are unknockoutable because there defense is so much a part of their offense that it doesn't look obvious.

Just like to point out that the second fight Taylor was the best prepared and in the best form of his career it was Taylors AAA game , he was a lot better fighter than when he fought Bhop .

Bhop wont expose Kelly at all , how do you expose somebody thats real , people wont be doubting Pavlik after this fight and JC will be trying to figure a way not to fight him and save face , Pavlik is probably the most hurtful fighter in boxing right now and many people cant see past his upright stance , they should look at Monzon and Arguello to see how this style can be explosive .

Could a young Hagler or Monzon stop a 43 yr old Bhop and his 27 punches a round , of cause they could , is Kelly a rising star of that ilk , maybe , if Kelly is the real deal he will stop or severely bash Bhop at this stage of Bhops career .

Yep easy , I believe Pavlik is 100% real , at 26 which is very young for his weight and status so he has the time where he might right rise to Hagler or Monzons level , might , if those are near true he will stop Bhop .

Haha , your trying to pin me to the floor , a little to early to tell with Kelly with any surety but he has the potential to be a Hagler or Monzon although in this day and age its very hard for any fighter to get that kind of recognition , I guess you can tell Im very high on Kelly Pavlik , I,ll be surprised if he doesnt dominate Bernard and stop him .
