Probably same result we saw from what actually happened.

An ugly fight that would be close and could of gone either way.

Actually, after watching earlier videos of Calzaghe when he was younger. Calzaghe beats Hopkins by KO. He had much heavier hands when he was younger.

I doubt he could of kayoed hopkins, his chin is excellent, but its important for the sake of balance,to point out that calzaghe was hardly in his prime when they fought, add in the extra power as a factor as that is quite important. It would have been a very close fight, but one which i would still give to joe,and if they did meet in their prime, then i am almost certain it would have been a better fight to watch

Indeed, no way he KO's Hopkins. But people have to realise that the Calzaghe they know (basically his last 2 or 3 fights) is not a Prime Calzaghe.

Young Hopkins also has good power himself. The major difference between the two will always be defensive aptitude.

Jones was the one who eluded to moving back down to 168lbs. Calzaghe, on more than one occasion, said he struggled to make weight and would be happy to fight Jones at 175. But at the end of the day, he's not gonna give up his belt, go up and wait around for Jones to fight him. Jones wouldnt even fight Dariusz M who was an undefeated long reigning champion at 175.
If Calzaghe wanted to fight Hopkins he should have come to America. In 2002 Calzaghe was less then a nobody. End of story. Reminds me of how Calzaghe was trying to get credit for calling out Pavlik after the Lacy fight when nobody even knew who Pavlik was and he was still probably fighting 8 rounders. The guy is a joke and a lying fraud.....

Easy win for B-Hop. B-Hop could possibly K.O Calzaghe

Not sure about the KO, cos calzaghe can take a punch, I would go Hop UD, staimina issues cost hop the decision against calzaghe, skill for skill, its hop all day.

If a younger Hopkins with stamina used the same gameplan he used against Calzaghe in the their last fight, then i could see Hopkins winning to be honest with you.

Saying that, Calzaghe wasn't prime in that fight either but his workrate was still phenomenal. A prime Calzaghe also had more power.

It's a truth one to call, but Hopkins had the right gameplan in place to beat Calzaghe but he started looking like his age when the fight went on. Shame Hopkins ducked Calzaghe in 02, because that would've been a brilliant fight.
