Bh could well mess pavlik about. That is why JC might have been better of fighting Pavlik first and get it out of the way and then fight RJJ.
BH is always stealing JCs opponents. Half of BHs resume should be JCs resume.

...I don't see anyone KO'ing Pavlik if Taylor and Miranda couldn't...both of them **** hard and couldn't stop him...so, I don't see someone like Hopkins really being a threat unless he get's a lucky combo in that does more then Taylor could...Kessler I think has a good shot at beating Pavlik...Abraham has a good shot...Calzaghe has a good shot...you need to be able to out box Pavlik, not out slug him...the only thing I think is if Calzaghe fight Pavlik the way he fought Kessler, he will loose, because I had Kessler whooping him until Kessler "***ged out"...but Kessler would have an easier time against Pavlik because Pavlik won't run...AA will try to outlast Pavlik and I don't know if that can be done...I see some good fights in the future...

I don't see why it would be "terrible". It would only show that either Hopkins is a superior fighter, or that Hopkins, although not a superior fighter, had the style to beat Pavlik.

I'll take this opportunity to talk about another point which we discussed a couple of weeks ago, aftyer the Calzaghe fight. In my opinion Calzaghe beat Hopkins fairly easily, although he had difficulties because of Hopkins' style. It should NEVER have been a "split decision". Many who believed Hopkins had won were influenced by Hopkins himself apparently certain that he'd won. I wrote in and said that this was "gamesmanship" to influence the judges or crowd.

So.... yesterday I just happened to look at the original Hopkins-Jones fight, where the popular myth is that Jones won but not easily. The judges made it 116-112 across the board, but Harold Lederman had it 118-110 and Larry Merchant had it 117-111. I saw it like Harold.

The INTERESTING thing to me was that when the announcer was giving the scores, Hopkins did the very same thing he always does. He raised his hands and had a disbelieving smile when the result went against him. To get to the REALLY interesting thing was that one of the comentators said, "good acting as usual Bernard, but it won't work".

This proves my contention that he ALWAYS has used the same tactics as a fight
result is being announced, even though he's obviously lost.

I don't know if anyone's interested, but I hope so.

Even though Enzo talks a lot of ****e (he's too arrogant for his own good), he may be right on this one.

I can see Hopkins beating Pavlik pretty comfortably.

While I'm a big fan of Hopkins, it aint gonna happen. He was supposed to beat Calzaghe and couldn't because he has no offense left to compete with.

All Enzo is doing is HOPING that B-Hop does pull off the victory to make his son look better for having struggled with a 43 year old and for not having to deal with Kelly Pavlik after the RJJ fight....should he even beat RJJ.

These guys DO NOT want any of Pavlik, a prime active fighter. They tried to get rid of him with Enzo's journeyman Lockett and it didn't turn out well.

Yeah Hopkins is a class or so above where Pavlik or Calzaghe could ever reach. We'll come deep to Atlantic City and overwhelm the ghost with an all pro Executioner crowd. I was ashamed to see Hopkins school Calzaghe, and then lose the decision and get booed in his own country after cementing his legacy as an all time great. I really like Kelly Pavlik, but he should have maybe waited one more year for Hopkins to age and slow down before taking on the champ.

Your ignorant Philly bias doesn't count.

Your opinion is about as worthless as a loyal Mexican's towards a hispanic fighter.
