Pacquiao has faced tough competition regularly since the mighty David Diaz, has he? Really? Decent stuff, yes Cotto and Marquez are the best I can think of really. But lets not be naive in ignoring that EVERY risk has been calculated to the max. Face Cotto? Not without a catchweight. Not then and not now. Face Margarito? Not without a catchweight and not before he was washed up. Face Mosley? Not in '09 because he was "too good" and only when he completely washed up. Marquez is his benchmark, but heck, even Ariza thought that with the age and size advantage Pacquiao would blaze through him. Roach thought it too. The fourth fight only happened because Cotto wouldn't be a patsy again. Didn't work out well did it? Pacquiao does still fight at welterweight doesn't he? When was the last time he fought one, let alone a top one? I guess fighting regularly makes up for it, even if it's not against the best in your division and if you eventually get starched. Yep, deserves full credit indeed.

All the people that whine about people whining about Mayweather, then bump threads like this years later to whine about Pacquiao. Seriously, these two groups of nuthuggers deserve each other.
Also, Pacquiao>Mayweather.

Morales might have underestimated Zahir. But Morales is still a great fighter. Anyone who beat SRR after SRR lost to turpin wouldnt be accused of cherry picking.
Morales was great. he just wasn't that great when manny beat him. In fact, he lost the fight to zair, and then lost 3 more in a row.
hugh...dont waste your time....this guy actually thinks Floyd didnt retire when the WW division was at its hottest! He really thinks floyd retirement was real!

I agree. He couldnt retire as there wasnt enough money in his bank account.

why is this even a question?
floyd is by far the greater fighter....floyd beat the better fighters and floyd has no losses. all of floyd's common opponents with pachype were in better shape, ranked higher and younger when floyd fought them. a 40 year old lw put pachype on his ass and on his face in the same fight. pac would of gotten his ass whooped at any point of his career against floyd, which is the reason the little bytch hid behind arum for all these years.Last edited by jaestix1; 01-18-2013, 01:02 PM.
