what is the difference between calzaghe ducking pavlik and mayweather ducking cotto??

i dont see a difference. these men both seem like cowards who are going to retire before fighting an elite fighter in his prime.

They have faced elite fighters in their prime. Any fan who think either man is a coward doesn't know boxing, and their opinion needs to be treated with no respect.

Who has Calzaghe faced that was elite? (I'm being serious though because I never followed his career much)

i dont think calzage has faced any elite in his career. the closest is maybe hopkins but he was old already. and mayweathers best win was corrales right before he was going to jail. not that impressive.

There is none, both fighters are shamelessly looking for an easy payday instead of fighting fighters in their prime who would give them a real challenge.

If you are talking about other pfp fighters in their prime, he has faced none. He has avoided none either. I'm going to be frank. Who has cotto or margs beaten that is elite, who has williams beaten that is elite. Who has chris john beaten that is elite, Wlad K, David Haye, Pavlik, Abraham? You have to be fortunate to get into super fights. Nowadays i consider your most serious adversary as the elite fighter in your own fivision. Cal has faced Eubank, kessler, and lacy, and he beat a decent hop. Floyd has faced hernandez, chico, castillo, hatton. Elite to me means best in the division. Fighters have gone their whole career not fighting what many perceive as an elite fighter. Heavyweights rarely face other pfp ranked heavies, same with cruisers too. All you can do is beat the elite fighters in your division. Not every one can face another pfp elite fighter.
