Calzaghe's never turned down anyone, Lacy was supposed to knock Calzaghe's head off with his big shots, did that happen, no. Kessler is as big, and has as hard a punch as Pavlik, and Calzaghe begged to fight him. Enzo and Joe are scared off Kelly, LOL, idiotic view, really is.

Calzaghe openly admitted that being scared before a fight is one of his chief motivations. Read up son. Now as far as being too scared to fight, thats just not in the mindset of ELITE professional boxers. They are confident and know no fear of other men. Joe is no exception to that.

Being scared of a fighter, and being scared/nervous before a fight are two totally different things.

Joe has ducked Hopkins uintil he realized JT finished him off and he ducked RJJ before. THen he ducked Winky Wrong. He did beat the crap out of an overhyped unproven Lacy and another over hyped Kessler no doubt but he will have a hard time against a very game and durable young Pavlik. Joe can definately slap the crap out of anyone but his punches have nothing behind them not anymore. I do hope David Haye does clean up the heavys though. Him and Hatto are the only pansies from across the pond that ill cheer for. Oh yeah and Ivan drago too!

Although some people might be disappointed the truth is Pavlik was never the first option. Calzaghe made it fairly clear that he wanted to fight Jones before Pavlik's name came into the mix.

I'm sure the fight will be in Wales as well which is an obvious benefit for Calzaghe. If he had fought Pavlik it would probably be in the U.S. Also I’m sure Calzaghe gets a better split against Jones (although you could make the argument that a 50/50 split with Pavlik might have still made him more money).

I'm not giving any credit to this news, it's Calzague's camp playing tricks all over.

The Roy Jones fight is on the table for months already and if it was what they really wanted they would have had something donne by now.

Truth is Pavlik is plan A, the fight Joe wants, while Roy is plan B, a good fight in case plan A is out of reach.

Anyway, I think Joe will still fight Roy early in 2009 in case he beats Pavlik. Too much money to pass on.

Expect this negotiations to drag on for another month, at least, before something is donne.

I think thats the point that you guys are trying to use to hide the fact that Calzaghe just doesnt want any of Pavlik. A prime RJJ would most likely beat Calzaghe, thats why they didnt fight a few years ago. Not to mention the fact that 5 years ago who even knew who Calzaghe was? I mean he fought some guys with decent records that I dont recognize, but were they Gary Locketts?

I objectively pointed out why most think Calzaghe will beat Pavlik easier than Roy backing it up with factual points which is more than you've done. You quote a snippet of that most saying Roy had attributes, lol, it's clear I meant has, and this is the best you had, picking out one word, a spelling mistake, but skipping and not challenging the numerous other backed up points?

It's been explained to you Calzaghe would have no reason for ducking Pavlik, he's openly said he wants dangerous fights to get motivated for and perform his best, example being Kessler to name just one. He's old himself and only wants top fights. He and many see Roys attributes and style more of a challenge to over come, and many agree. They are a bigger weapon against Joe than Pavlik. Roy and Joe are only a few years apart and both past they're prime. He's always said he wanted Roy, known Kelly's dangerous for ages like all of us, and said he's willing to fight him if Roy deal doesn't come through. Clearly it has, Kelly beating some chump changes nothing.
