Well give or take a year, I'm sorry mate, 2 decades, then yes, roughly right. Life expectancy has risen by roughly that amount in those areas. Thats given alcohol and food intakes. Amongst those whom are very fit, i.e athlete, its actually risen by more so. 31 is the new 28 of the 80's dude, inflation, just how it is.

Hagler had his Leonard fight just a month before his 33rd. birthday, and you can't compare the two careers or resumes. NO COMPARISON.

I think that this is bs and that its just for publicity. but if this is true, I've lost total respect for him and I think he's just doing this cuz he is scared of DLH. most ppl think that mayweather would get another easy victory over DLH but I completely disagree. I knew that dlh was gonna give him a much harder fight cuz he has tapes to look over and analyse and most importantly, he has mayweather senior on his side now.

I don't think he is scared of fighting margarito or cotto but I do think he is scared to fight dlh again. why? cuz he could easily avoid margarito's punches and easily counter punch him all night to victory. he wouldn't counter punch cotto as easily but he would still counter punch him effectively, and cotto has a suspect chin. I do believe that mayweather could ko him. dlh has speed, power and a strong chin and he is really smart and technically sound. mayweather is a chicken running away if this retirement is real, but I don't think it is.

I kinda don't want to believe this. Maybe because for my own selfish reasons... I don't think now is a good time to retire. The one good thing about this is we don't have to see ODLH PBF II, but we still need to see PBF vs Cotto. If he retires after he fights the winner of cotto/margarito then I have no objections. Retiring now just leaves a big question mark on his WW reign

I'll believe it when September comes around without Mayweather-DLH 2.

I'm hoping, and this may be wishful thinking, that he's waiting to see what happens with the Cotto-Margarito fight. From what I understand this fight is selling a lot of tickets so it's showing that Cotto can be a draw even in Vegas. Cotto's stock will rise even more once he wins the fight and the pressure from the public for a Mayweather fight will continue to build. Mayweather wants this to happen and at some point he'll come out "retirement" to prove his critics wrong at an all time high demand from the public.
