Ok...so I Saw The Benn And Mcllellan Fight Last Night And Benn Is ****en Dirty!!

that ref. ****** he should have called that fight in the first round Benn was out way longer than 10 seconds plus why in the **** was he trying to hold mcllelan back i wish that fight had happen here in america cause we may still have Gerald today as a fighter.......all those ****en rabbit punches that he landed on gearld had alot to do with the **** that happend to Gerald .....Benn is down right a ****en dirt bag i dont care what anyone thinks.......and how can you keep celebrating when a man is almost dead...the whole crowd was going crazy ...they showed no respect for Gearald... kinda makes me bitter on the british.......i just still cant belive what i saw by this ref. and Benn........when Gerald took a knee the first time he, was hit in the back of the head if you watch the replay.... it shows you he was caught in the back of his head or neck all this **** could have been avoided if the ****en ref. knew what he was doing........i guess we do have all the good **** in america even the ppl...you can flame me all you want but i dont care Gerald may still be normal had he had been here in the states the night of that fight....yes i know this issue has been talked about before but i had to let this off my chest.

yeah the ref was **** but i think Gman was having trouble very early on after round 2 he was hanging his mouth piece out and didn’t look right.

Apparently there is no rule in boxing that constitutes if a fighters gets knocked OUT of the ring he gets a 20 count instead of a 10 count?

Don't get me wrong, I'm a big fan of the G-man and I even shed a tear when I saw him in the condition that he's in now, but the only argument of yours that holds any water is the rabbit punching, and I agree that refs all over the globe should pay more attention to penalising rabbit punches. But let's not for a moment pretend that Nigel Benn is the only boxer that throws rabbit punches.

if McClellan had issues regarding his health it does'nt matter if he had beaten Benn his health problems would have caught up with him in another fight he was complaining of head aches after his fight with Julian Jackson pre Benn

as for Benn & the British crowd celebrating do u think if they knew what had happened to McClellan they would have continued of coarse not they did not no how servere his injury was

McClellan injury was inevitable it does'nt matter if it was Benn it would have happened regardless had he continued to fight ,i know it sounds harsh but if anyone is to blame for his injury it is probably Gerald himself as he struggled to make weight before fights & used to lose ridiculous amounts of weight in a short space of time ,it is down to u as a proffesional fighter to maintain your weight sensibly inbetween fights

The referee was mostly to blame, Benn was rabbit punching but it was the referee's job to put an end to that. McClellan's corner should've sensed something was wrong too.

Weight was also an issue because he was draining himself to make weight, so there wasn't enough fluid in his skull to protect his brain.

And Benn was allowed 20 seconds back into the ring after the first knockdown because that's the right thing to do according to the rules.

How was the crowd supposed to know what was happening to him?

Terrible is right as well, it was probably inevitable because McClellan had frequent headaches after the Jackson fights.

Benn was a warrior and he had a lot of heart to continue fighting after the first round.
Yes, he used illegal tactics but I can't really blame him, he was allowed to do it and he was fighting for his career and money in there. The fight was a war.

It was not the only fight where Benn was like this, he went wild on Barkley and that fight was in the U.S, the referee allowed him to hit Barkley on the ground and to the back of the head several times without even warning him.

The referees should be stricter as far as rabbit punches go, Sam Peter does it all the time.

McClellan was pretty much a ticking timebomb after the first Jackson fight
(I believe he already had signs of brain damage by then, atleast he doesn't remember anything after that fight in the condition he is today), luckily... or should I say unluckily for him all of his fights after it only lasted 1 round and the Benn fight almost did as well.
