I thought this was a joke at first...Good for Floyd, his team has done a good job with the cross promotion (dancing with the stars, mtv cribs, nba all star wkd, wrestlemania...) So in a sense they have succeeded in making Floyd a celebrity/star, but if he TRULY wants respect & just not fame & notiriety, then he has 2 "step up" & fight the best like a ambassador of the sport & a p4p great should!

He's fought better guys than Cotto has..that's for damn sure..and he doesn't have to sweat-down for a weight advantage either.

Anyway, i highly doubt that THEY reached out to HIM. Car racing is (no racism intended) a redneck sport. The fans who watch the Indy 500 probably dont even know who Floyd is! How does it benefit the sport of racing, to have Floyd wave the flag? Floyd's people most likely reached out to them, and gave them a whole story about how it will bring higher ratings to the race if Floyd participated, due to his boxing pfp status. They probably used the whole "we pulled in 2.4 million ppv buys" line on them.
