Hatton used that goofy bag as his main work. Yes, i know that he also sparred. But the difference b/w a heavy bag and this bag is that this bag is wiiiiiiide and doesn't help to tune his accuracy AT ALL.

Did he diversify his fighter?
Did he teach new skills?
Did he devise any brilliant tactical plans?
Has he succeeded with a variety of fighters?
He kid with a singular ability and rode that singular ability to 42 wins..and 1 controversial win, and one stunning loss against good boxers,
I am not a trainer. And even I saw that the accuracy of Louise Collazo's punches meant that Floyd was going to land pinpoint shots and knock Ricky out.

training with that thing doesnt simulate where a real body is, so by training with it, it doesnt accurately simulate where the human body is, proper distance and timing are thrown off because a real body doesnt just sit there and sticking out like that waiting to be hit, ricky telegraphed just about every punch and mayweather made him pay everytime.
That device is a detriment, i dont see how it improves conditioning, a real heavy bad provides realistic distance because you can get up on it, but something like that and the way graham was using it to simulate a real fighter i dont think is the best idea.

I can't believe there are still people who think Hatton would have won that fight if there was a different ref. He WAS fighting his fight! I counted two arm bars, 5 headlocks and lots of hugging. You watched him for over a month on 24/7 throwing body shots at the fat suit. Come fight night all he want to do was hug.
Just accept it! He got his fook'n arse whipped. Move on.
