I can't even remember anyone of any caliber that Hamed had beaten. You're only supporting my statement that Tyson had a much better career than Hamed. Thank you.

So that makes Tyson a boxing god. Hamed: a mythical imp (he certainly has the look).

            First time poster on here.

If the likes of Mike McCallum, Barry McGuigan, Eusabio Pedrosa and Jeff Fenech etc (all good fighters though) can be indited then Naseem Hamed must be in there.

He may not be in the class of some but he was one of the best fighters of his generation and was only beaten by a great in Barrera.

                Cheers.

I think people forget just how good he was for a time. They seem to focus on his personality rather than his ability.

Lets face it, there have been very few harder or faster punchers pound for pound than him.

Oh please. You take it. You need it more than you realize. I could spare you some of mine in my pinky toe, in fact.

Like I said, Hamed will get in. But IMO, he's not as good as you all think he was.

oh and i suppose 2 hammerings against 2 Elite heavyweights suggest Tyson was he dominted in a poor era the same as Hamed ,both did so in spectacular fashion i might add

I never liked Hamed as a person but there is no getting away from the fact that he was a brilliant fighter.

He was unorthodox with lightening speed and bone crunching power. As a fighter I cannot recall many more exciting fighters whether you watched him to see him lose or win.

They have been better fighters but he is a definate Hall of Fame candidiate. Remember he held four versions of the Featherweight Title. If you think he shouldn't be included then.....many more should be removed.
