Even the great ones of the past were given easier fights after tough ones, so I was not at all surprised that Taylor faced Uoma after the (controversial) draw with Winky. But, Mora after Uoma? Well, Okay. There were the Hopkins fights before Winky after all.
Nonetheless, Jermain should seriously consider that although FMayweather is widely regarded today as the best, many get on his case simply because a lot of people view him as having had too smooth a ride gained by studiously chosing to cruise over minor humps while religiously avoiding dangerous bumps. This is not saying of course that PBF deserves the brickbats.
In Jermain's case, he has not won decisively against the big names and while he decisively bested Uoma, the fashion by which that win was earned cannot be called spectacular. And, spectacular is/was what is/was expected from Taylor whenever he fights anyone like an Uoma.
If Jermain wants to silence his critics, he and his crew need not look too hard; they know what to do. I hope they do it soon. They must not wait to hear the buzz of impatience, which can easily deteriorate to the silence of indifference. The worst thing that can happen to an undefeated champion is not losing. It is when the vast majority of people (avid fans of the sport included) stop caring about his fights.Last edited by grayfist; 12-18-2006, 10:26 PM.

Winky says no, Miranda needs to fight Abraham and the rest of the division is lackluster.
Granted, im not pleased, but if this fight is going to set up a big fight then im all for it.
