Sounds like they've been running on empty for a few years now, and the ****zine being taken out of the shops due to the coronavirus epidemic may of just been the final nail in the coffin for the ****zine.
When a publication dies, for some readers it's like a little part of their lives is now missing. From responses received it seems that many feel that way about the death of Boxing Monthly. To all our loyal readers, heartfelt thanks.

I’m exceptionally sad to learn that Boxing Monthly will cease publication. I’ll never forget spotting the first issue with a mean and moody Mike Tyson on the cover. I was hooked from that moment. Some glorious writing appeared on those pages over the years. I’ll miss it greatly.

Really sad to hear about the demise of Boxing Monthly. Glyn Leach was a boxing stalwart who was a friend and gets my IBHOF vote. Their archives will remain a significant contribution to the history of the sport.

First piece I ever wrote for Boxing Monthly ****zine in early 2016.

Hundreds of episodes of my podcast were posted on the BM site.
Sadly, the May 2020 issue will be our last.
Such a great fight publication with outstanding contributors.
Today is a sad day.
RIP , at times the best boxing ****zine in existence.

Very sorry to see it go.
Had three pages on the amateur scene in first ever Boxing Monthly and a column every month since March 2000. Glyn a real friend. Sad news today, the business will miss it. Take care, old friend.

I read Boxing Monthly for years, as I first started really covering it was an invaluable tool to learn about the global/UK scene. It was an institution. Just wanted to pay my respects to what was a great publication for decades...
