    3 Funniest Boxers?

    1. Muhammad Ali
    2. Slapsy Maxie Rosenbloom
    3. Rocky Graziano

the last two were mostly funny in films or TV, with writers adding jokes based on their personalities.

Foreman and Tyson surprisingly became pretty funny.

I'm not sure who clowned a lot in the ring. Jorge Paez was once a clown in real life? He did look funny!

Honorable mention to comedians who were originally boxers, including Bob Hope and stooge Larry Fine.

Emmanuel "The Drunken Master" Augustus was a funny dude in the ring. His trademark was the "string-puppet dance".

“I was called ‘Rembrandt’ Hope in my boxing days, because I spent so much time on the canvas.”

"“I’d have won my last fight if the referee hadn’t stepped on my hands.”

“Some fighters are carried back to their dressing rooms. I’m the only one who had to be carried both ways."

Jeez, how many comedians did a comedy boxing routine in a movie? Chaplin did it. Lou Costello did it (Louie the Looper). Curly Howard did it. On and on.

Packy East was 4-1 with 3 KO's in his career. The full story on Bob Hope's boxing world (and his tussle with Jack Dempsey) is over here:

The other Maxie Baer and Sweet Pea could be hillarious, so could Roger Mayweather. When he walked in with the sombrero..lol. James Toney has been known to be amusing as well.

              Iron Mike-

Maybe not during his fighting days, but his self-deprecating style nowadays is pretty funny. Moreover, I get a few laughs out of Mike Tyson Mysteries- its extremely juvenile and full of non-sequiturs, but it is funny.

Adrien Broner is funny when he's not in his emotions.

Some of the trainers are pretty funny. For example, watching Johnny Ruiz with Stoney in his corner. Stoney yelling like a maniac and smacking him.

My favorite was watching Duva melt down on Golota after Golota melted down for like the fifth time in a fight...Lew had obviously had it and was trying to push Andrew back out of the corner against Tyson while Golota was literally hanging on to the ropes! Poor Lou! I know trying to get Golota to say on the rails had to take at least ten years from him.
