So where did Lewis duck him? He was never on the radar until stomping Wlad.

The better question is why did Wlad never seek a rematch? Probably ly the same reason Vits wanted no more of Byrd....it was a bad styles matchup for him.

Legendary troll. You were a crap poster there, and you're a crap poster here.

Credit given for avoiding the question though.

          - - As mentioned, Sanders was legendary on AOL, an exotic few had heard about. And since he was part of the Southpaw invasion into boxing where they can actually fight in their natural stance that only rarely happened in the past, they now dominate the list of champions in relation to their small numbers, estimated approx 12-13% of the global population.

Credit given for almost never understanding a single thing about boxing.

Your brain is fried. Get off the bottle. Sanders was not legendary on AOL. If he was it was for getting knocked out by Nate Tubbs in 1994 while the internet was still in its infancy. After that he beat a few washed up Cruiserweight before getting knocked out by Rahman and never beat a top 10 heavyweight before or after Wlad. So I'll ask again, when and how dis Lewis duck him?

Before quitting against Byrd Vits with all his physical advantages only landed eight more punches in that fight and was pushed backwards by Byrd on many occasions. Was he ahead? Yes. But the rounds were closer than the scores indicated in my opinion.
Did you know the following fighters also quit? Johnson, Wills, Robinson, Charles, Duran, Tyson, and many more. The hall of fame is full of quitters if you want the truth.

Vitali did indeed retire, but he did so with injury that required surgery. And he was clearly in the lead of the all of the judges cards. 89-82 88-83 88-83. That must be factored in. Vitali was ahead 6 rounds to 3 on my card. At the time his career was young and he didn't know how the Western press would react to it. By the way he never lost more the 3 rounds on any card in any fight. This accomplishment is number one in boxing history. All weight classes. Very impressive if you think about it!

It's speculation on my end, but if he knew how the Western press would view it and knew he would never get the re-match he probably would have pressed on. HBO reported on initial broadcast through translator that Vitali was comparing about the injury as early as round three. A torn shoulder is a painful injury. I've seen though guys on the ground in other sports because or it.

Anyway, quitting in boxing has may forms including opting not the get up form a knock down, fouling out via DQ, or rule being stuff like faking an injury.

I'm not here to start between you two but AOL was just coming out by the time of Sanders vs Tubbs. However I am sure that Sanders name was mentioned as a possible opponent for Lewis. In fact it was mentioned several times. He wasn't selected though, the risk was too great and Lewis fought other guys who were lesser instead.

Sanders by the way was a 220-235 pound heavyweights and never fought at cruiser weight. He had an injury training for the Rahman fight which was very exciting. Lewis fought the winner and was knocked out by the very same Rhaman.

Sanders was unranked by the Ring until he beat Wlad.

Right, but what would have made Sanders "legendary"? It's just more ridiculous hyperbole by Queenie. I was on AOL from 96 onward ans Sanders was no legend there.

I can agree about the Rahman fight and risk reward you speak of. But Theresa's clearly no duck as Sanders could never push the limits far enough to get him ranked and make a fight. Had he beat Rahman we may be having g a totally different conversation.
