    Tyson. There's doubt?

Tyson's the most obvious candidate, though I think you can make a good case for Lewis as well. Bruno might have been a bit more heavy handed than either, but he lost overall power due to his lack of speed or crispness. Both Lewis and Bruno needed space to unload their hardest shots, however, whereas Tyson was devastating at any range, and could even knock you out with glancing blows.

All of them hit harder than Shavers though. Well, except for Bowe.

Was Lyle really one of the hardest punchers of all time?

Like top 5 or top 10 of all time?

          "HELL NO!" You ~crazy~?
The late Ron Lyle (passed away very soon after Joe Frazier died..) was a very imposing fighter in the Ring. He also had a tendency to "personality match" in the ring. Hard to "figure him" for consistent patern.
Solid top level boxer with many good wins and his losses ALL ARE RESPECTABLE.
          He had good power..oh yeah!

No kidding? You think I don't know that! [Your Cooney "sweepstakes" bit OFF don't you think?]
Light punching Jimmy Young also had George on the matt.
Ron Lyle a good puncher just not FAB.
Ernie Shaver saying such if he said such STILL is only talking about WHOM HE FACED. How many fights ERNIE have? 60 ("wild guess")? Out of '60' how many "elite"? NOT MORE THAN 14 at tops, hey? Plus, you have "mood swings" on the one up
                    Personal.
Like I say, Ron Lyle tended to "tailor" to his opp personality.
You like to go into another area and pick it apart? ADMIN FRUSTRATION A GOOD ONE! : )
And("by the way") RATE a.t. for me 1ST 2Nd 3RD: LYLE, SHAVERS, NORTON.

Which shows just how hard Wlad hit..thanks for the obvious comparison though.
