    ^ ^ ~89 career~ I "wild guessed" 60.
    Picked n.m.t. '15' and -15- it is.
Joe Bugner ("quick look...." tells me that 1982 win Shavers final "significant" name victory....), Tex Cobb, Bernardo Marcado, Holmes twice, Norton, Ali, Henry Clark, Lyle (1975) Jimmy Young -twice-// Jerry Quarry, Ellis, Vincent Rond--- [W-UD /1972] -and- Ron Stander (my actual Fb -friend-). NO SURPRISE Ernie picked Lyle as his hardest punching advisory. "Guessing" you'd think Ron Lyle or Bernardo Mercado from the list. Henry Clark not much of a "puncher" [KO-1 Jeff Merritt that's all,, ha ha!], Jimmy Young "feather fisted", Ellis no heavy hands..Bugner "could surprise" but, normally, NO.

No. He was a decent puncher, but nothing special in the grand scheme of things.

It's Foreman fans who make him out to be one of the hardest punchers ever. This is to keep Foreman's aura intact and keep the myth of "nobody could ever outslug Foreman" alive, even though the Lyle fight is out there where you can see Lyle outslug him numerous times, knock him down and almost out several times and even back Foreman up. Lyle could hit very hard but he's not up there with the usual names.

Exactly/ Exactly talking PUNCHING POWER. Hit "better than average" & gave some outstanding performances (Foreman bout...). Flat out, "item"..well...he was unique in his own right but that is determination US FOLK will make!
