            Fascinating... If you subsequenty chose to limit that list to an "elite" 10, which 7 would fail to make the cut?

              I knew I would see Gatti on a lot of list,but I didn't think I would Carlos Monzon and Julio Cesar Chavez on so many.

              I have always loved Carlos Monzon.

                  1.Shane Mosley at 14yrs old he got me interested i was like wow cool hands. 2.Mike Tyson my oldest and first memory of boxing fights. 3.Roy Jones Jr i constantly watched his fights over and over in awe still do. 4.Marvin Hagler OMG!! He showed me all kinds of ways a boxing fight is won. 5.Willie Pep i could watch his footage for hours just smiling. 6.Sugar Ray Leonard i always watch his fights in awe. 7.Joe Louis i think hes perfection. 8.Jersey Joe Walcott i wish i could slide and twist like he did. 9.Floyd Pretty Boy Mayweather Unreal Boxing IQ. 10.Andre Ward i just cant get enough footage i think hes amazing. MY 1-10 IS NOT A RANKING THERE JUST THE FIGHTERS WHO MADE OR MAKE ME LOVE BOXING.

                      I think Monzon is an acquired taste. I had read about him before I saw him on video and was hugely disappointed when I first watched him. I thought he was slow, stiff and inelegant but the more I watched him the more his brilliance shone through. Monzon-Benvenuti I is one of the great middleweight world title fights, only ruined slightly by the quality of the video for this fight, a problem for most Monzon fights.
