Yeah, but like I said earlier: Holmes didn't get very good results against jabbers. Witherspoon and Williams cut it close and Spinks beat a faded Holmes. He also didn't fight (avoided?) Pink, who was better than all of them at jabbing.

I think Tyson would be a much worse match-up for Wlad. Wlad could find a comfort zone against Holmes that he wouldn't get with Tyson.

Nobody has a run against top heavyweights without encountering problems.

I disagree. Surely, Tyson could potentially KO Wlad or anyone else within 7 rounds, but after that against a big guy like Wlad? I don't know. He had trouble with size. That's not saying I don't think Tyson would win, but I would bet more money on Holmes than I would Tyson probably.

All this talk of the holmes era with names like witherspoon, pink, spinks, etc,, all were really good fighters, some of them great,,

It just makes you realize that the heavy division has fallen on hard times,,, for a decade the klits have been dominating, and the biggest threats are haye and povetkin,,, No offense to haye or povetkin, but spinks, pink, witherspoon, etc were a whole helluva lot better

I agree. I think wlad would do much better with holmes than tyson. wlad has trouble with shorter guys that get low and crouch like tyson. hed have all kinds of trouble getting that right hand off not to mention tysons speed and power. hed have wlad in a panic. I think hed have a much better chance against holmes. wlad always does better with boxers over sluggers all though holmes would obviously be the best boxer hes ever faced by far. I still take holmes by ud but think its competitve
