Take foreman vs chuvalo, could you see ali taking those shots from that stance, I just don't think his physical head was better than those guys

^Ali wasn't physically matured yet. In his prime he would have eaten that shot without going down. To be honest, I think you're taking the piss. Anybody who watched the Frazier trilogy and a very past prime Ali taking Shavers' best shots will agree that he had one of the best chins ever. Definitely better than Holyfield. McCall and Chuvalo are the only ones I would rank above him with certainty when it comes to punch resistance(although Ali had a thougher body than Oliver).

Don't get me wrong I started off by saying he had a great chin just not 1 of the greatest of all time.
Clay was wide open for that left hook, he was a lighter underdeveloped kid at that point barely a heavyweight in today's terms in 1963, but he was up straight away.
If you want to see a fully developed 224Lb Ali take several much heavier left hooks than the Henry Cooper example take a look at rounds 5 & 6 of the Thrilla in Manilla.

Get the f**k outta here! what's next? Tommy Hearns' jab?
Ali did get knocked down a few times, but that's because of him always being on his toes and moving around. They were just flash KD's more than anything. Have you seen the Ali vs Frazier trilogy? watch how many times Joe lands that crunching left hook and Ali still takes it like a man.
