Basically when both fighters were at there highest sugar Ray Leonard stopped him...almost is not enough real great fighters are judged by there ability to fight through fire and come out victorious which leonard did and that’s what separates hearns from the like of leonard , Robinson. Ali , Louis etc...I’m a big fan of hearns but he lost his two biggest fights and he was knocked down numerous times and staggered by many fighters...he is not underrated he is where he should be

Hearns didn't have a glass jaw. He wasn't that easy to hurt but when he was hurt he couldn't seem to get his legs back. Just sayin I've seen Tommy take some pretty good punches without flinching. Just the first round of the Hagler bout. Nobody with a glass jaw gets halfway through that round.

I felt he did get rocked in that round, as did Hagler.

          - - Well established that Stewart somehow overtrained Hearns in his last welter fight as it turned, 145 lb.

Pretty sure that's when Ray's eye problems begin after Tommy stabbed the orb at will that led to Ray multi retirements.

Hagler was never rocked. Period. The most powerful punches he received only made him halt in his tracks for a mere instant against Mugabi and Roldan.. He was never staggered and never provably rocked that I have ever seen.

              - - Probably rocked vs those two, but refused to show it. Many Men instinctually grow up refusing to show any weakness, because in the wild, that's a sure disaster in the making.

              Part of the genetic code.

The opening moments of the fight Hearns did stun him with a right hand that would have knocked out a Steer. Hagler had the best chin I've seen along with LaMotta. He was hurt though but mentally he was so determined. As Marvin famously said "he could have hit me with that ring post and would've still been there".

Absolutely they were both shook. Just saying. Hearns jaw wasn't glass. A guy like Terry Norris or Maurice Blocker had glass. I saw Norris get dropped and hurt by a left jab.

Poor Terry. He had that De La Hoya fight locked in for 10 million and got knocked out in a "safe fight"
