I feel the same as most here: if you lined up all the heavyweights ever in their prime and had them hit a punch trax machine as hard as they could five times, Lewis's numbers would be near the top (top 5-10 range). But if you were to measure the average force of punches he landed in a fight it wouldn't be relatively as high. His upper cut and overhand were monsters, but he fought off the back foot, and used his height and skill.

He is the opposite of Wilder in this regards, who just relies on bombs.

But his ability to be so good with his tech made his punches way more effective then those 70s dudes like who seriously can see joe surviving his shots i dont none of those dudes would be able to handle him

Oh yeah it was his technique that made him an ATG, and he was smart to fight as such. But it is accurate to write that he COULD have landed consistently harder punches, he just chose not to.

Well how are we measuring power? If we stood there and let the fighter load up and land their hardest shot? Or are we talking the best shots we have seen them capable landing?

if its the Latter; then fighters like Tyson, Louis, Frazier and Rocky will take the scoops. They all were capable of throwing very hard shots from short distances that would land very hard. Lewis often wasn’t able to land his hardest punches and was forced to fight like how he did vs Holyfield.

if we are talking all time landing power, nothing else. I gotta say Shavers or Maybe Baer. Shavers had a long fast tremendously leveraged right hand. Unfortunately thats all he had at least compared to his peers.

Lewis certainly had one-punch KO power and anything beyond that is gravy isn't it? I wouldn't rank him Shavers or Foreman but hell who else does rank with those two? You can fairly put him in the mix with the rest of the one-punch power guys and shaking them out is just a matter of relatively minor degrees.

Wrong many people survived george shots even no names power overrated had to hit people mutiple times that shows his power wasnt that great yea I can hit a person mutiple times and they will be sore after that's how george was

And lenox hit way harder then him its easy to see this by how he won matches stopped people way faster then george ever did
