I'd have to agree with that. I always found it humorous that when Bugner fought in a rage, he started knocking people out with ease.

Watch the Winston Allen fight I posted above, where Bugner gets headbutted and instantly knocks Allen out with a right hand. I believe the pre-fight hype for the Richard Dunn fight got a bit ugly and Bugner responded by knocking Dunn out in one.

He finally looked a killer against Dunn. He probably showed more agression against Dunn than in 2 fights with Ali. Good showing against Frazier though probably the highlight of his career for me.

Although I haven't yet watched the Allen fight (well, not for at least 20 years or so) I'll stick my neck out, and say it wasn't a headbutt, he actually bit Bugners shoulder! Wonder if the young Mike Tyson was watching that one lol...

I think it was another fighter who bit him on the shoulder. I've heard about that but never seen it. I believe Bugner went onto knock that opponent out as well.

I just watched the fight and it's jogged my memory..
To begin with I thought, that's strange, as it's something Joe once made a brief comment on himself, in an email to me..

It isn't until back in his dressing room after the fight, that Bugner notices the distinct shape of a bite mark on his collar bone, and allows the press to photograph it..
I believe Allen was actually disciplined by the BBBC over it..

You're probably right. I heard that he was bitten during one of his comeback fights in the 1990's but someone must've gotten it confused with this fight.
