I agree with JAB5239. Pacquiao has the better resume but I would put money on Whitaker beating him head to head.

Yep I can see Sweet pea getting himself a decision win, giving Manny fits.

Head to head and skills wise Pernell because of his defense. Wins and career wise, probably Manny.

              - - If Peashooter was better head to head, he would've shown it.

Whatever the reason, he preferred the clown route that wows infantile casuals, but does nothing for the sweet science. Had he fought the entirety of his career like he fought Roger Mayweather, you could make a head to head case for him.

He didn't, and so his delusional supporter are always bursting into tears over being robbed vs Ramirez or Oscar or Chavez Sr. It's not a good look for greatness after an Olympic Gold where he had much promise turning pro.

Manny came up harder to never have the chance fight in the Olympics, so he made do with what became his signature, 19 yrs old going into the Lion's Den and knocking The Great Champ out in front of his people. Manny was always the hungrier fighter even after ascension to superstar, and he's the more naturally talented fighter.

Poor Peashooter, we knew him well, but not well enough...

Whitaker took Ramirez and Whitaker apart with ease. Two of boxings worst robberies, and everyone k ows it. Chavez was p4p number one and 87-0 when Whitaker made beating him look easy, only to have Don King and his judges rob him. You blame King for everything else in wrong in boxi.g but see past this because of your utter and obvious hatred for Pernell.

He disrespected the men he fought. Why should I have respected him.

Queen is right he chose the roll of a clown and now he is being remembered as coming up short. His choice.

Clowning and being disrespectful only takes away from his personality, not his talent, accomplishments or the fights he was robbed in.
